Father Son 75 CB200T Rise From the Ruins

Yes, if you press it apart. if you go that far, may as well fit new rods and be done with it. We use to fit C90 rods on 160/175 cranks but there's probably a better rod out there.

The other option is to get your local machine shop to press in bushes and ream them to size. Then drill the oil hole.

Not that it wasn't interesting before, but this is where we really separate the men from the boys. :)

Building up the internals of an engine is no mean feat. It requires an exacting nature and very much attention to detail. Be prepared for parts wanting to occupy the same space at the same time. If you don't already have some Dykem and plastigauge, it would be a good investment. Some Plasticine is a good idea, too.
have plastiguage. So when do we start x-raying?

plastigauge is for shell bearing. None of them in a mini CB, so that can stay on the shelf for now. For piston to valve clearances you can just turn the motor over with a DTI on the valve and check every couple of degrees from say 20 BTDC to 20 ATDC. It's usually the exhausts that give problems and try to run negative clearances.

When you install the Cap . wire the pink and white wires together that way you get full output from the stator

You mean yellow and white. The pink should stay by itself.

now that is what we call a 10 year old's science fair project! Thanks Guys! The teacher approved the procedure so we will see if anybody notices we broke more than our personal best ;)
Next year we will do the effects of rotational inertia on motorcycle acceleration...I think we may have some data on that.

I'll bet your project caused many a case of envy from your schoolmates!

Crazy
well we will see if anybody notices that fairing is spelled incorrectly...oh well.

Nah the folks that know what a fairing is won't care and the folks that don't won't know the difference. Best. Science Project. Ever. ;D

We will be machining the jug

How is that for a short skirt...these may not be legal in Uganda

How much compression are you expecting to lose with the lower dome?
Are you going to lose the base gasket?
I'm really looking forward to the next dyno results
