Did you get the Clubman bars on OK?
XS650RR said:Man thats a long wait to have tires monunted and balanced. I took mine into the shop I deal with in Lindsay and had them back the next day. However I just took the wheels in, not the whole bike.
yep always have an appointment, so if you show up and they say it be three days, you go okay where next closest shop? your work gets done so fast at that point.Tintin said:I made an appointment at Riders Choice when I got my Pirelli Sport Demons put on my 550F. I rode the bike there, and rode it home an hour or so later. And they forgot to charge me the install fee - just paid for tires
Cafe_to_go said:Don't feel bad, my bike has been in the shop for almost a month now they barely started working on it, they are supposed to modify the gas tank and make a solo seat. See link for picture. Also they are supposed to move the battery to go under the seat hump and reroute the exhaust. I wanted for my bike to ready by this week so that I can attend the TON UP Chicago event this coming weekend. I am going to have to drive by in my car.

Chances are they would ahve put em on backwards or something too - the way you were treated.
Kudos on gettin the thing out of their hands... take off the wheels and bring em somewhere dude... I'd hate for you to get f'd over again.
yes that was very nice of them not to break the law and charge you for services not rendered, and they can say in your defence that you did not contact provincial biz lisencing board, cause under new legistration passed aug 2005 they can face 50 thousand dollar fine for not filling the service promised to you within 7 days.rphilli550 said:i already called another shop downtown. heres the price comparison
Friends Shop - Tires: 259.00 both for some off brand
- Service per wheel: 45.00
- hourly rate: 75.00
- Grand Total: 424.00
Other Shop - Tires: 180.00 both for dunlop
- Service per wheel: 30.00
- hourly rate: none
- Grand Total: 240.00
and they promise work done in 2 days for tire changes. it would be less but they have to order the tires. in defense of the shop that my friend works at, they didn't make me buy the tires after they'd already paid to have them shipped in.

Ease said:BTW, I checked at a Harley dealership and it was much much cheaper than your friend's shop. Actually it was about the same as the new price you were quoted, but with bridgestones.
...and THAT's sayin something.
