Hey Josh when we going to see some pics of your 175, I look forward to seeing what you do with your seat and bike. Any luck with a cb200 tank yet?
ill post some pics later today. just did some polishing. nothing too exciting. until i saw Heck's post i had no luck with a tank, but ill be watching that auction. i dont NEED one, but maybe i can get it pretty cheap. i plan on getting some foam to start shaping a seat today. ive also been looking at LEDs for taillight ideas. now how in the world does the oil filter come off? i swear the manual says to just pull it out, but it doesnt budge. i took out the screw from the center of it.
back to you. how are the rear sets coming along? i was thinking i would just flip the shifter and then only have to worry about the brake side. what are you doing for lights?

That was my original plan but it looks like I have to have the gear pattern in its original form to get it registered, so it looks like I need to make a shifter and rods.

what are you doing for lights?

I bought a cheapy round trailer light for the back. I was thinking of an LED light with a number plate holder all intergrated but I like the round light as it is a bit more old school looking.
Indicators I'm thinking something like this.

the Deus turn signals are nice. i saw them on the bikes in the shop and had no idea that they sold them. i probably would have picked some up. im sure they are pricey though.

im sure they are pricey though
They are, thats why I said "something like these" ;D $125au a pair, they are aluminium though not like some of the cheapies that are plastic.

are those from Deus?? i had no idea. those reminded me of them, but didnt realize that was them. damn $125? they are crazy.
do they actually turn the bike for you?

hay man looking good. just was reading through and was how you were doing the rear sets. so you can just flip the selector lever around and move to the
pass peg, and it will all reach?? or do you have to extend the lever????.

also what are your plans for your brake side?? hard to do???

i am working on a cd 175 1973. doing the cafe swap aswell.
i will be posting pictures soon..
need to do rear sets..

well thanks, supercafe.

Freaking love your seat pads bro. The build is grrreat, but I can't get over how neat you seat pads look. By black neoprene you mean like a divers suit? where did you get it? I'm totally gonna use that idea man. Hell of niceness.

Thanks guys,
I haven't worked out my rearsets yet, not much has happened to the bike recently.
Seat pads are comfy too. It was some sort of old wetsuit about 3mm thick, more rubbery than neoprene of today if that makes sense.
I'll have to get motivated to clean out my shed so I can get back into doing the bike.

hay hotfunk, thanks for the reply.
like the build so far. like to see some new pics, of your progress.
also would like, if you could inform me how you intend to set up your brake
side rearset, when you figure it out. would be very helpful.
thanks and hope to talk later.

Hi I havent posted for a very long time. After getting my tank and seat finished I managed to knock them over during a garage clean up and dinged the crap out of them. This I must say severely pissed me off so the project went untouched for 6 months, then on a random search of evil bay i came across a new tank to get the juices flowing again. anyway this is where I am at for the moment. Chrome tank sides are due back tomorrow and the wiring has started. I still need to figure out my rearsets ( what a pain ). Any way heres some pics of the bike now.

totally different look from what it was originally! both look awesome. i do love green bikes though ;)

how long did it take you to find the green wall? :p great pictures, better then most people have for their finished projects.
that nitroheads seat is high on my list of dream acquisitions, but no way i can validate the cost when there's so many other parts to spend money one... such is life.

Not long its my garage door. I couldnt bring myself to muck around with another seat, once you factor in materials time and upholstery its worth every cent ( even if it was 2/3 the original cost of the bike  )

This is the look that I originally wanted but trying to find the tank was very difficult, I cant wait for the chrome covers to come back from refurb ;D

yeah hotfunk. i thought the first picture was a toy. your bike is looking great. everything is really nice. ive been working on mine and this is going to get me even more motivated. keep up the good work.
