Yes I want to reply to this awesome thread! Well we have not done much lately.Everything takes so much time to do. We have put some header wrap on her pipes. Right where her leg will be. We got her bars and cut them down and installed them painted her controls black. She scuffed the mirrors after I took them apart. We painted them black and then I put some of the vht night shades paint to the turn signal lenses. Wet sanded those. We ordered some of those corny lookin ebay grips for 5 bucks. They kinda fit the look of the bike with the contrast cut. They are actually kinda comfortable just sitting there. We put the mirrors on before cutting the bars down and painting them. We didn't like the look right away but after painting them they just kinda disappear.
I love the new handlebars, they fit the look of the bike. It looks really good with the bars and levers being polished and all the controls are black. We need to finish the front tire and once we get that then we'll work on finishing up the front end for good.
The only thing I've been doing lately is sanding and polishing the side engine covers. We've been putting off going to get the title, and once we do that, then we'll start the frame mods.
She's coming along...
Now she needs a name...
Bike's looking great so far. Nice thinking on painting the mirrors, gives it a sleek look. What kind of paint did you use for the carbs that would stand up to the fuel vapor? Thinking of painting my carbs, but I gotta make sure the paint stays on there! Once everything's put together, we all gotta get together for some rides, you two live right on the other side of town!
We got alot done on the bike this past week. I've been sanding the can covers and getting them ready to be polished and put back on. When their all done, I'll post some pics.
Travis got cutting the ends off the spokes and Truing it on Thursday. So Friday morning we went and finally got the tire mounted on the rim. It turned out awesome! ;D
Re: Front Tire Done! Black Bobber 1975 Honda CB500T
I agree!
It looks so cool!
We're going to take the rear wheel from the CB350 and put it on my bike so we can take off mine and take it apart so we can clean and paint the drum. Can't wait!

Yes we are going to start on the rear wheel. pull it off this week and get it sanded painted.
The wheels are just some cheap harley 16 inch rims. they are 40 hole so they match up with the hubs. the spokes are from TAS on ebay. The tank is not mounted yet. I will probably use some sort of combination of two stock mounts. I can either weld the factory honda mounts to the tank or weld mounts to the frame to work with the tank mounts
