JETTING SOLVED! Could this be real?....and WORK?

I just re-read this old shit.... What a great, adult debate and discussion. hard to find a good level headed debate on the interwebs these days. In my opinion, it was a prime example. Figured I'd give this a bump for anyone new to MC chat rooms. This is how ya get question answered. Thanks Teazer, Brando, Joey, Boingk and any body else that contributed.... Graham....

Just read this myself!!! ROFLMAO over the cheese exchange. I read it aloud and even had my wife laughing. By the way, did diesel450 ever make Moderator? I think hijacking a serious thread with a one line post has to be some kind of record!!

Did the kit solve any problems or did the thread just peter out without resolution?

Someone pm him to post the results. Well maybe he never installed the kits? He did go and buy like 3 more bikes

I have not had "proper" cheddar, though we're blessed with the Tillamook cheese makers here that, while a factory still turn out some good product. I have recently become a fan of my local grocer's cheese counter and have been experimenting a bit.

I'm never glib about cheese.....

Proper cheddar comes from Cheddar in't west country where the yokels arrrr ;)

Ha! I still have the kit in it's package! But we'll never know because I've decided to go a little further with the motor. Right now I'm getting ready to drop the cheddar for an 836 kit and some other goodies. Now that I have other bikes I've decided to do the 750 the way I want it since I'm never selling it and I'm in no rush to finish it anymore. So the jet kit is fucking obsolete!
For me it turned out to be a nice way to burn a hundred dollar bill!

well i am going to give them a try see if they can at least get me on a starting path for my VM carbs... i hate jetting... hate it!

For what it's worth, "real" Cheddar is a let down. Not very good at all. I think their product tends to get by on name alone... The best Cheddar I've had was actually from Ireland.

I'll take some Red Leicester or Double Gloucester any day of the week, though. Those are some proper cheeses.

My son loves Wallace and Grommit and every time I read a post here where y'all are talking about cheese in my head it's Wallace reciting your words. Just thought I'd share.

Most Cheddar is too 'young' to be good, needs decent aging, then a lot of people find it too strong ::)
It goes well with apples ;D

Apple pie with some good cheddar is amazing.

My favorite cheese is Irish Dubliner. Its a good cracker cheese that I first had visiting my parents when they lived in Doolin, Ireland. You can get it state side at Trader Jokes and I've even seen large bricks of the stuff at Costco!

I'm getting to the jetting stage of my project and getting concerned by my lack of knowledge. I ordered a Sirius consolidated jet kit; hope it has what I need!

HONDA CB500 F FOUR PERFORMANCE JET KIT Part# CB500JK

Includes 4 x #115 Main Jets 4 x #120 Main Jets 4 x #125 Main Jets 4 x #85 Jets

16 jets for Keihin Carbs 8 slide needle tuning washers to raise your slide needle

I think the only other thing I'll need is slow jets.

I've always found needle needs dropping for street bikes, otherwise they run rich at part throttle cruising
That does sound about right for race versions though where your either 'on the gas' or braking
