Cut the frame. Still need to weld on a cross brace at the very back.
Looks kinda weird, eh?!
Mocked up seat #1.

So, there ya go! Taking the weekend off! Back at 'er next week.
Seat #2 should make an appearance next Wednesday. We'll mock up that one and make our final decisions regarding the sub frame mods to mount the seats. Then... away we go!
Got a couple of LED taillights on the way from Dime City! They're gonna look sweet with this setup!

It'll just be the prototype for a test fitting, but you'll get the idea about what we're working towards.

Hey Rob!
Nah, just the seat with a LED tail light and license plate bracket tucked under the hump. I like the "look" but I get that not everyone will. I built it for me though!
We got a fair amount of work done yesterday. I'll try to post some pics later today! 8)

That's the plan Mr. Longhorn.
I'm just waiting for my LED tail light to arrive from DCC (foot tapping and watch checking impatiently), and as long as it runs decent, I'm bringin' her! It won't be "done" done, just done for now! There's a fair bit more to do to "make it right" but I plan to have the rest completed by Barber for the second "epic weekend" of the season! 8)

- welded seat mounts, turn signal brackets, rear brake reservoir mount in place.
- ground down sloppy welds
- paint touch ups on the frame and new brackets
- cleaned up the pipes
- mounted seat, rear signals and brake reservoir
- mounted up the pipes
Today I splashed some soap and water on it and got a pic or 2 of how it sits today:
Detail pics of the seat mount, etc, will be shot tomorrow or Friday! Sorry.
I'm waiting on my LED tail light from DCC. We're gonna bend up an under tail/inner fender and paint it black to clean up the gaps between the seat and sub frame. Not the best, but I think practically and visually it'll work.
I'm also hoping for new rubber for the wheels, a new rear shock, paint for the wheels and a few other details coming together a little down the road here.

Well, my delay in ordering my LED tail light has forced me to go to "Plan B" for the Mongrel. If we're gonna have a chance to bring her to Mid-Ohio next week, we had to make a tough decision.
This morning we stole the light and license bracket off the KayZed :'( and mounted it on the Mongrel.
I think we have a new home for this piece! ;D It's a good fit and looks good to boot, IMO.
No pics yet lads. Maybe later tonight I can get a couple up here and you can cast your vote!
