Let's see your pickup trucks

I loved my Taco (only picture I have of it), but the ride in the GMC is far better... The Cayman GoCart I traded for my shop :-[

Jeez that's so long it must take all day to drive past! Nice power plant :)

No turning on a dime here...fifty cent piece is a stretch sometimes. Fortunately we have a big driveway that I can pull into (instead of backing) and have just enough room to turn around with the trailer and tuck it into it's spot.

I'm reposting because Facebook images apparently don't remain linked for some reason and I'm too proud of this beater...

The good ole titan. Slept in it at barber. A 6 foot cot fits perfectly under the shell.

Finally got the engine put back together, out of the garage and it actually runs.

Even after sitting on those ramps for nearly 4 years. How lazy can a guy be..........

I had leased a 2012 F-150 until last june, when I was getting close to ending the term I scooped up a '72 F-250 camper special for a project truck. Decided cost of a lease with the poor gas mileage and high insurance cost wasn't conducive to my bank account. So I scoured CL for an old F-series and found a runner/driver for $2k delivered and it was originally a texas truck. Stripped the 390 and C6 auto trans and sold off, took profit and got a '98 mustang GT 4.6 V8 with a 5spd manual trans, with the ECU and wiring harness. Grabbed a crown Victoria rack and pinion complete front suspension and limited slip rear end from a junkyard, and transplanted it all into the '72 pickup. I did a lot of other things along the way, but left the patina on the body. here's how she sits.

The shop truck. '13 Tacoma. Got it a year ago almost to the day. Next to it, my pops '96 Tacoma. Has almost 500K on it, only routine maintenance, and a new starter.

You're on tacomaworld, right?

Here's my '13 Tacoma Prerunner. Volant CAI & scoop, magnaflow exhaust, custom grill, Redline hood struts, Defender rack, KB Voodoo bed bars, shorty antenna, FN five star wheels on 265/75/16 Cooper ATs, Bilstein 5100s front & back with OME coils and Deaver AAL for 3"/2" level. Probably forgetting done stuff. Debadging next followed by LR UCAs.

Sweet Taco... I snatched the turd stickers off day 1 so paint would not fade leaving the outline, but yours is light color and should be good for years.

Been rocking the taco since 2013. 2.7 I4, 5 speed, standard cab, 4x4. Super basic (doesn't even have a clock!!) but super reliable and up for whatever!

I love this truck. I had a lifted 79 F150 (only one of three Fords I ever owned, the other two being a Galaxie 500 and my wife's Taurus) with 44s and a hell of a disposition. It was also a 460 4 speed. Had to bend the fuck out of the shifter to manage the lift and you had to push it into 1st to keep from slamming your knuckles into the dash. I would love to own that truck.

Thanks, I love it too. Just replaced a power steering hose about twenty minutes ago. The engine actually came out of a 79 :)
and the shifter used to be about 4 inches from the ceiling. In fourth gear you could just rest your elbow on the bench seat back rest. I had to cut it down for city driving, my right hand is still visible above the dash most of the time.

I bought it from my friend Zach who has had more crew cab fords than anyone I know, most of them 460's. The one that started it all was built like a truck that you might see on the cover of Four Wheeler back in 1986. Triple shocks up front, 12" of lift, 39.5 x 19.5 Mickey Thomson Bajas, etc.

One drunken night in the trailer park about 13 years ago a kid with a 2001 Dodge 2500 Cummins decided to let his mouth write a check his truck couldn't cash, and before he knew it his 'lightweight' little dodge diesel extended cab was being pulled in circles on pavement, backwards. For a long time. He was actually crying when he got out of the truck.

Nice truck Dohc...I would definitely prefer the crew over my extended. Even with the seats forward it's tough for an adult to get back there and the bench seat back there is worthless...I use the space for tools, lunch box and other crap.

Had a 2000 Chevy crew 4x4 but the 350 was way to small for hauling and going up into the mountains. When GM got bailed out I ditched it and switched to Fords...bought the F250 and a E150.

F250 needs paint and have narrowed it down to silver or white, now I can refer to yours as the white example.

Got some new shoes on this old bird, thanks to Redbird. Nothing like the classic look of American Racing 5 star torq thrust mags...

Never seen this thread I don't think, but your truck looks killer with those hoops.

And a shout out to my 98 s10 long bed for getting me and my junk from Ohio to barber and back again.
