Hey man just spent a couple hours on here. Love the direction this is going. Really wanted to be more creative and adventurous with my build, but honestly I need to learn more about metal fab. Definitely inspiring man great job :) Im starting a CJ360t Rat Bike project soon hopfully it will be as cool as the Goldwing Rat Bike

thanks man I appreciate that.. yeah with the metal fab its really all about getting some hands on experience.. taking the right steps and doing this the right way, the first time. if you want to get those adapters, a few posts above the member speedbump had a hub milled out of aluminum, and currently has a list of people who are going to get the same thing made by the same shop he did.. it would fit right into a gsxr front end which is really nice, I would have just bought one instead of going the adapter route for sure. good luck with your brat build, if you need anything feel free to pm me with questions you may have.

thanks man I appreciate that! hopefully will have some updates in a couple weeks, just getting all my ducks in a row with my other bike.. need to get the rearset mounts on, and the rear subframe buttoned up.
 
yeah that would have been nice! haha. oh well. two weeks and I'll have some updates for the build, need to get my subframe situated and get the rear tail section made.
 
alot of times with sport bike rear sets you can flip the clevis mounts from brake to shifter and they will work on these older bikes by adjusting the angle to work off the back tube of the frame i have done it several time snow... that CB1000 is bad ass!

yeah man sloooowwww... sucks. bike is still over on the other side of the state. ken the guy who is doing my tail is out of town on vacation at the moment but is supposed to get ahold of me when he gets back. ive actually been thinking about not having him do the tail on the bike. he just cant seem to get the rounded shape of the tail like fiberglass can, which he had already told me up front.. so I think when I go back next, we are going to do some rearset mounts, finish up my rear subframe, and lower my upper shock mount for some more travel in the swingarm, where it was before was too high. ive been thinking about trying to shape my own rear tail, maybe I should shape one up and ship it out to you to glass for me!
 
All these updates man. I feel like I followed along with you from the start. Definitely gave me some inspiration!
