(I love the lacing and ability to run tubeless with spokes!)
Lee,
On the Kay it's a straightforward swap [ shaft drive as GS ].
The cunning plan if I decide to use them on the TR1 "Special" is to use BMW forks - which also gives me 305mm discs and 4 pot Brembos as stock and on the rear make a spindle carrier up that bolts to the wheel via the 4 mounting holes. I did look at this quite seriously and it will be very simple - for someone with machining facilities / ability. Even without good / any facilities I had looked at using a standard alloy front wheel [ TR1 / XV ] and chopping out the bearing housing from the hub and making an adaptor.
At the moment I have some indecision [ no change there ! ] I already have the 5 spoke BMW K1200S wheels for the Kay [ conversion now all complete ], I also have a spare set of XS650 wheels for a Willow style, and now the GS wheels.
I have a guy here who has offered me stupid money [ £400 - $900 ? ] for the 2 x 5 spoke wheels. IF I sell them, then I will use the GS wheels on the Fighter - if I don't sell, then I still have options. I hope that doesn't sound too complicated !
