So basically got the bike in the house then left town to help my wife's uncle pack up and move to a care home. I lifted the slide in the carb on Sat, it was still up Sunday night so they are coming off, hopefully tonight for a cleaning. Aftermarket can on it, no label but Mark say's is sounds good. seat needs a new cover too. Will be making a list of needs tonight too, there is some sketchy wire connections I'll be redoing and need to test all the lights etc. Pretty low KM's for the age too.

I think you will really enjoy the Hawk. I think it was one of the best street bikes I have ever had. I always felt that it needed a pipe to really wake it up, but I had to leave mine stock since I was racing it in a production class and it was my demo bike from the dealership I was working at.
Do you have a fuel tank for it?

Ordered a CB600 F2 tank. The bike was parked because tank rotted and dumped rust jn the carbs and gas all on the ground

Probably the cleanest carbs I've started with ever. Pinesol bath and carb cleaner shake on the brass rinsa and reinstall

Ordered up these from the Hordpower store: HawkGTforum says need to ditch airbox to run the F2 tank.

Tank came. Need to figure out how to mount it, which Petcock to use etc. Will get pics on the bike tonight

Here’s the ‘90 I’m working on for a buddy. It has a F2 tank as well. Someone before him did an absolute hack job on the stock subframe to mount up a Ducati Monster seat. I scrapped the stock subframe and made my own for it. I still need to fab and mount up the electronic tray but it’s getting there.
