Ok Officially the coolest Goldwing I have seen

You have a point, the only thing left that is really a wing is part of the frame and the engine/drivetrain, the rest is all yours.

I've been mostly lurking and enjoying your forum, haven't put up any updates in awhile.
Chronicled in detail here:

A few of the good new bits:

It's now legal, but the motor needs a bit more sorting, valves, and I had to loose the cool looking tires for some cool working ones.

That's pretty badass man! What prompted the tire switch...lack of traction?
Quality. I've tried two of those rear tires now and I can't get them to mount up right. It's almost like the tire itself is too small, and they have very soft side walls that get all wavy when inflated. On the back anyway, the front 18" tire has been fine. They are a bit of a rough ride (as you would expect from a nobby-ish tire) but the traction was great, especially on dirt and gravel, quite a positive grip and I think the compound is pretty soft.

The new tires are better though, I couldn't be happier with them as far as performance is concerned, especially at the price.

And thanks for the vote Hoosier, how goes the progress on your custom wing?
cheers,
KR

Engine is almost completed, polish the covers, then stick it back in the frame.
New tires are on order as soon a Paypal recognizes my money transfer ::)
Paint the Comstarts, rear master Cyl O/H, Then comes the Randakks kit for the carbs.

Very cool. You should link your build in your signature line.
What tires did YOU end up going with?

Thanks, I tried linking to it a while back but the damn thing was too many chacters to submit with both builds going on
Bridgstone Spitfires, heard great things about them with the dual compounds, wear well in the center but sticky on the sides.
Want a set of Avons or Pirelli's but my '81's Comstars sizes really limited the choices.. Frt 110/90-19, Rr 130/90-17

Looks like a nice tire, at a great price as well. Make sure to post some pictures.
And you can't complain about tire choices, at least you've got the 17, try looking for a 16. :p

I see now that the post on this forum doesn't seem to have an option to html a text link, I made one for you. lets see if this works:
GL1100 Bomber

Went for an evening ride, engine is running great, details over on NGW.
