Wow what service at Ichiban moto !!!! I order a condenser other day and it showed up befor I knew it and on top of that I got may I say some BadAss " Ichiban moto" stickers !!!!!!
Thanks again sir !!!
Picked up a KTM 300 2smoke to part out if not build for fun always wanted some form of dirt tracker ???? Also picked a 84 nighthawk 700c with a blown motor to the point the 2nd cylinder connecting rod is sticking out the back of the motor lol so I'm parting it out to a few guys here first . its a shame because its a very clean bike with a title . anyways I'm keeping a few parts , like the shocks ....
There a few other small things that might change ! The nighthawk has a neat lil gear indicator I might have a look at to see how it works will see ... Here's a pick of the nighthawk s motor....
OK so befor I try and fire the 500 up again I would like to make sure I have the RR right its the only thing I'm not 100% . the RR is from matt ( SPARCKMOTO.com for Honda 4s on my Yamaha 500 !
Honda R/R = 3 yellow wires Yamaha wires = 3 white So that's a no brainer
1 green
1 red
1 black
1 white
As for the Yamaha plug = has a green,black,blue,and what looks like white all in plug comeing from the motor including the 3 white to 3 yellow on the RR .
on my Yamaha wiring diagram says this = Green =AC generater
black = ground
blue = main switch
white = ???
So after talking to matt on the Honda RR works like this ....
3 yellow = 3 white ( Check )
black = voltage sensing ( power sources that's always on )blue or brown on Yamaha
white = is power wire that leads to exciter for alternator
red = ???
Right now I have the wires like this 3 yellow to white
1 black to key on
1 green to green on plug to motor
1 white to white on motor
1 red to power ( + on battery )
So sound right , seems right but not 100% any help out there befor I try and fire this up ?
Well its fired back up after a small problem with the lighting wire , didn't have a lead to the key right . Now just need to make sure its charging right reset the carbs and few small things and hope to have it out on the road again to see if alls good !
Put the meter on it last night and was getting ..... 12.6/13 at idle and 14.5/15.6 at 2500 rpms so seems like its working ! Have a few things I need to check over this weekend to see if all's well !
