Got the last part of the bike auction in today. An 86 Kawasaki en450. I dunno, bobber? Science project? Lawn art? We will see, it was only 30 bucks...

Hack off the rear and hardtail it following the angle of the frame and could be a cool bobber. lower the front a bit to decrease the rake. For 30 bucks if the motor turns you could have a sick bobber for little $$ invested.

1980 gs450 for cheap and it runs.

The E-bay seller accepted my offer! Got the whole set for cheaper than the head gasket alone.
Finally going to make headway on "Rock-It's" engine.

Oh yeah... and the Wifey moved me up to the 21st century. This thing is INTENCE! No more "Flip Phone" for H-Daddy.... Never liked texting on a touch screen with these sausage fingers, so I got a Droid-4 with a slide out

Awesome score Cloyd! I may have missed it, is there a thread for it somewhere?

Hoosier, I used to have a slider Droid like that, for the same reason. I actually disliked the miniature keys for texting though, and ended up just using the touchscreen anyway. Depending on your keyboard app, there may be a "speech to text" option.

Hoosier- gotta love it, nice score.

I was at a swap meet last weekend and a guy had a box filled with NIP full gasket sets for the '73 Commando. All I needed was the primary cover gasket, but got the whole set for $30- yipeeekayaaaa! Now I am tempted to refresh all the gaskets, lol.

Kinda what im thinking. Not sure about the hardtail tho. I wasn't very kind to my back when I was younger, and the roads around here are a nuisance too. Likely it will become a bobber for my wife in the coming years. Right off the bat it needs carbs, radiator, and a belt. We will see!

For these in yesterday for the 77. Gotta love networking with ppl at swap meets.

New gauge bracket for the Thrux- my friend is a machinist and whipped one up today- siginificantly drops the gauges and flatens them out.

Now, from a profile shot, you can hardly see them:
