Cool bike . . . but look around this guy's shop- Mikey Likes It!

Looks like a collector/speculator with a bunch of cash?
Good luck to him though, better than seeing it recycled into a new Dodge (or similar ;) )

OK I gotta ask , how much ? That is an awsome piece of equipment

$599
Lowest i've ever seen it. For christmas they sold it at $699 and I was bummed I didn't pick one up then. Been keeping an eye on kijiji for a used one and they don't usually sell that low and if you can find a box and pan used as they don't seem to come up as often as a standard brakes.

Earlier in the week I bid on an RMZ 250 silencer.
Turned up yesterday
RMZ250.jpg

I've been thinking about getting one or two since 2005 but they were too expensive until recently
I picked up the Z650 tail some time ago, making a mold so I can make a narrower one as seat base for 360
Just bought some ZDDP off eBay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/280550757678?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I just don't trust modern oils even though Rotella has 1200ppm the optimum is around 1800ppm
They actually do a bit of a write up with some numbers telling you where ZDDP becomes corrosive
I only add about half a bottle to gallon of oil, my not be optimum but definitely better than nothing
ZDDP MAXX SUPER CONCENTRAE THE ONLY PURE ZDDP
ALL OTHER ZDDP ADDITIVES ADD LARGE AMOUNTS OF OIL NOT ZDDP MAXX.ZDDP MAXX CREATES A BOUNDARY LAYER BETWEEN TWO METAL PARTS THAT PROTECT THEM FROM DIRECT CONTACT, IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ZDDP THE PART BECOMES UNPROTECTED AND THE PART WILL FAIL. API SM RATED OILS DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH ZDDP TO PROTECT A PRE 1996 ENGINE,OR NEW RACING . ZDDP IS A EXTREME PRESSURE ADDITIVE THAT PROTECTS DRIVE TRAIN PARTS, CAM, LIFTERS, VALVE, PISTON RINGS, TURBO CHARGERS. MORE CONCENTRATED AND CHEAPER THAN ZDDPLUS. ZDDP MAXX TREATS 5 QUARTS OF OIL AT OVER 1910PPM PHOSPHORUS AND 2500PPM ZINC. API RAITED SF OILS ONLY EVER HAD 1300PPM PHOSPHORUS. MOST API SM OILS HAVE MIN 600PPM PH AND 900PPM MAX PH. ZDDP MAXX DELIVERS OVER TWICE THE ZDDP COMPARED TO THE BEST SM OILS. HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF WHAT EXPECT IF YOU CHOSE TO USE 4 QUARTS OF OIL YOUR PH WILL BE AT 2040PPM , USE 5 QUARTS IT IS OVER 1910PPM PH, USE 6 QUARTS IT IS OVER 1760PPM PH. TO BE EXACT CALL THE MANUFACTURE OF YOU BRAND OF OIL AND ASK HOW MUCH PHOSPHORUS IT HAS. IF IT IS OVER 600PPM PH ADD WHAT IS OVER TO THE QUART COUNT YOUR ENGINE USES. WITH NEW CAMS YOU SHOULD USE MORE THAN 1800PPM PH AND NEVER USE OVER 2400PPM IT BECOMES CORISIVE TO IRON PARTS. ALL PARTS OF THIS PRODUCT ARE MADE AND ASSEMLBED IN THE USA MAID BUY LEADING ZDDP MANUFACTURS IN USA. WE DONT WANT AN ARM AND LEG JUST A FAIR LOW PRICE. THANKS HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON IF YOU HAVE OTHER ? WARNING ZDDP MAXX HAS A VERY STRONG SMELL DUE TO IT BEING A CONCENTRATE.

She looks pretty rough but the engine has good compression, shifts through all the gears and the price was right....

Sounds like fun, don't sweat the rust, it's what makes us stronger.

Ya it wasn't leaking when I first got it but once I took the picture I noticed that too. I'm not sure exactly what the plans are for it. I need to try to finish one project first. I'm sure I'll be taking you up on the offer of help as well.

new skates came in yesterday, this is what 850 dollars looks like? hockey is getting ridiculous these days.

holy shit, that's like 2 project bikes or one project and parts to finish it! You must love Hockey or play at a higher level. My last pair of skates were like 80 bucks and that was top of the line, was also 20+ years ago.

please tell me they suck on your toes or something for that kind of scratch.

hahhaha they dont suck on my toe that i know of.. yeah hockey is becoming pretty ridiculous, one piece composite sticks can get up and around 250 dollars, and that doesnt mean its going to last longer, one shot or slash and it will be in two pieces.. sucks. i used to play in the minors a couple seasons ago so i was just used to getting free gear tossed around, but now that im just a normal guy playing mens league with friends, i see how this shit adds up pretty quick... ah well, theyll last me a year or so.. haha

You're gonna laugh at this. I sprouted pretty early on and up until a few years ago, had the same skates from the time I was 13. CCM755 Kevlars. Loved those things. Took a slapper to the toe box and it shattered the frames. Couldn't find replacements that fit :(

haha too funny.. my brother has a pair of ccm tacks he wont give up, he was trying to tell me there was nothing about these reebok 20k's that would make him skate any better than his old tacks.. guy cracks me up, his tacks are like cinder blocks on his feet.

I wouldn't doubt it, dude... It explains why my white boy legs look like an 80s linebacker's. It just feels like home.

yep hard to get people away from whats comortable. he tried wearing a pair of vapor XXX's and his feet and ankles could barely handle the stiffness of the boot.

I had the same issue. Skating was always my biggest strength, too so it was disappointing. I was like a Pavel Bure on these bitches! ;)
