So, I bought a '67 BSA Lightning a few weeks ago from the original owner/freind of a neighbor and today I get a knock on the garage door and the previous owner, Gary, says "put your shoes on and come here to see what I got for you, if you want them" . . . jacket and Bell helmet both from circa '69

I think he could tell from my ear-to-ear grin that I did indeed want them.

He said something about a '68 dot inside- haven't investigated yet . . . pretty cool that it has the plastic visor and it is clear and pretty much scratch free.

If it's a TX500, it's the grand daddy of all 3/4 helmets. Worth hundreds to serious collectors.

There's one in the MoMA collection in NYC.

Yep, that's the one, 1968 Snell Memorial Foundation.

Overall condition is superb, other than the foam having been replaced.
