Mr.E said:All you guys buying the xs650 motors lately suck. I cant find one in my region even in pieces...
And buckeye, you suck the worst.
That one may not be started on until after Barber. Painting a 350T today, final assembly in a couple, have a custom CBR600F2 I'm building to wrap up after the 350, then a 350F, then a 750 SOHC, then maybe that one. Lot to do before Barber.Hoosier Daddy said:J-Rod10: Looks like a C model cb750, $275 for a runner, you done good my friend!
Now I am off in search of a build thread on it.
Slipstream needs to do a tank and seat mock up during the build and give Benji some needed competition for the DOHC market.J-Rod10 said:That one may not be started on until after Barber. J-Rod10 said:Picked up a 82 CB750, a Wilton bandsaw, and a Harbor Freight bandsaw (new) for $375 total.
Got the bike home and a battery hooked up, started first push of the button. Paid $275 for it.
Saw the Wilton driving home at a yardsale. Guy said it wouldn't cut. Gave him $100 for it and the cheapo. He had the blade on the Wilton backwards.

I bought it to pattern seats/rearsets off of. If I do ever get into tanks, I've got 100 yards of carbon just waiting on it. Lot more liability in those, though.Hoosier Daddy said:Slipstream needs to do a tank and seat mock up during the build and give Benji some needed competition for the DOHC market.
