Picked this up yesterday. $150

Has a rather large gouge in the lower cylinder so it needs a rebore.

Came with the head off and enough surface rust to seize the engine.
Had a broken tilt motor that needs replacing (I broke it more trying to figure out this electrical dark arts crap)
Has seized steering, just needs some new grease.

So that will be my winter project. Hopefully it will be better than the 35 I have when it is done.

50HP. 820cc. I think I am going to have to get a 1mm overbore on the lower cylinder by the looks of things. Which will bring it out to 830cc.

Should move my 14ft along alright. (If I ever get it back together)

I'd say so! I have a 9.9hp on my 16' boat, and it's disgusting how slow it is. There was a 10hp power limit on the lake I go to, and they bumped it up to 20hp a couple years ago..... so the local price of 20hp motors went thru the roof.

Find a mid 80s johnson/evinrude 20hp 2cyl. They can be turned into 35hp with a new intake and carby.

Ohh and I just found a crack in the steering bracket... Ehh you get what you pay for.

It is actually in better condition than I thought. It was only missing the magnet in the strap, but I just bought a new one from Home Depot for $3 and sewed it in. Took 5 minutes.

i got a brand new bell. not sure the model but it's comfy, quiet and I only paid $49 on clearance at Bikebandit. Order the same time as a buddy and we got free shipping. Check them and Motorcycle Superstore, they have new ones on clearance regularly and if you are lucky they have your size. The one I got was a 24 hr sale at 80% off and we ordered right after the add email came in at 23.5 hours left so they had all sizes available.

Ever have one of those "I'll bring the trailer just in case" craigslist moments? Made a 45 minute drive to buy a cb350 stator off craigslist. Had a hunch so I brought the trailer along. Left with the whole bike for the price of the stator . Only need the stator so you will be seeing this on the for sale section soon.
