That's awfully close to my first bike with a Villiers 225cc 1H motor. And I'm not so sure I want to remember that....

I bought a new hjc rpha 11 pro helmet $302, and some Alpinestars mid length gloves. I got sick of black so I got some color!

@Hurco550 and I went for a short drive today, really short, only a few blocks, and came home w/ a 1975 BMW R90/6. Just a bit under 43,000 miles and hasn't been registered or run for many years. I bought it from a friend of mine who was the second owner. There are faithful dealer maintenance records annotated up through 35,000 miles in July 1984. It's all there plus a real S fairing and mounts, Progressive fork springs, a full trio of Wixom bags and a Vetter-style monster fairing (complete w/ AM/FM/Cassette radio) that I'll NOT be using.

I'll start a thread, it's going to need all seals and gaskets replaced, massive clean-up, carbs rebuilt, and tires. Let the fun begin!

Yeah, Levi and I were talking about that.

I spent a few minutes doing some clean up in patches this morning and there is lots of it that is going to clean up with medial epicondyle lubricant. It's looking like this is going to be a patina machine.

WOW! It's like a Time Machine! I'll bet the tank and fenders are going to clean up gorgeous. Black bikes are the very reason for wax! Bike looks so much better without the extras. Congrats!

No worries. I don't intend to take it down completely, but that'll get done for sure.

Yesterday it was this

It's been sitting for about 20 years so needs some work, but nothing major I know of. Yet.

Today it was this

Still waiting on some parts for it but it's finally here!

Ordered a couple of things for the DRZ - really enjoying it exploring up around the cabin so I'm investing a bit more to make it more of an adventure bike.

Adventure Spec Mini Fairing which is kind of interesting. Nylon brackets with a steel or aluminum plate to hold various things. Comes with an AMPS standard mounting bracket for GPS and other units. I'll probably just drill the right spec holes into the primary plate to keep the Garmin close to it.

I ordered without the plastic windscreen as I'm using a different screen on the DRZ which is the other item ordered - a Parabellum Rally windscreen in clear.

Also recently added a 1 gallon Rotopax for water to balance out the 1 gallon fuel container the DRZ came with when I bought it a few years back.
