Picked up a 1st gen xl500 engine at mid Ohio. Time to build another frame from scratch I suppose.

Thrown about $3k at the truck over the last 6mos. Still have a few nitpicky things I want to change, but all the big purchases are done.

I bought this very stock shit box as a run around to replace my Ford Ranger. Only 156k miles on the old girl. Needed a water pump and timing belt. Still need either a turbo oil seal or new valve seals. Not likely to get either for a while as it only gets used a few times a week.

Of course I found the crustiest CL77 on the planet. At least it was only $50

Cool. Looks like it was left out in teh rain after someone punched her in the headlamp. I had a few CB72s and CB77s in the past and a mate of mine used to be big into the CL series. I think I still have a NOS crank for one of those still in its original box.

I got a couple things today. The first wasn't actually purchased, a neighbor is moving and cleaning out stuff. He came by carrying this and said I need this for working on the old BMW. Ok....

Ok, ok, the second is a little more fun. @Hurco550 and I took a run down to Re-Psycle BMW Parts south of Columbus this morning. He came away w/ a bag of parts for his airhead and I came away, very unexpectedly, w/ a pair of mufflers for my airhead. They appear to be hand-made and are fairly heavy but appear to have been made out of stainless and need nothing but a good clean/shine. Really, the pix doesn't do 'em justice, they're going to be really beautiful on there.

Holy WOW! That is a SCORE! You LUCKY!...
You might change the word "lucky" to "dumb" if you saw it in person :D

Yeah that thing was very much hated. The frame is busted where the hoop slides in. Luckily I may have a donor frame lined up to repair it. Pretty neat to have a NOS crankshaft on a shelf.

I have a donor CL77 frame already cut apart if you need something. It was bent so I made an engine stand out of the cradle and needed the seat front mount for my CL72. I will gladly cut the hoop/shock sections to the length you need. It was a 66-67 bike.

That would be awesome. A buddy has one I can cut but his is a complete frame, so if yours is cut up that might be a better donor candidate. I'll shoot you a PM.
