I am jealous. Is it a 350 or 400? I really want a 400... There's a good chance it will be the next addition to my stable.

These came in yesterday - non spillable battery for the cafe and a sprocket for the dirty project.

RD400. Going to pick her uptomorrow. Hopefully she's everything claimed in the auction.

This pic is in the middle of cutting a new windshield for it. Painting it now. In all seriousness, The xs is subjet to function over form. Being it's my new "shop" truck.

I wish it made that heavy breathing sound that Darth Vader makes.... :(

booooomshakalaka, hes on fire..

wait till u hoes see what i post on saturday,, im having an epic week of deliveries

The Bell Moto 3 is an excellent helmet. Very sturdy. Getting harder to find since collectors are snapping them up.

This one's pretty rough. My friend used it as his downhill longboarding helmet, so it's got a couple gouges from some slides gone wrong, as well as a hole through the top for a helmet-cam mount. Some bondo, paint and new lining should have it back up to snuff. I'm super happy to have found one.

Ummm... If it's suffered an impact, it is not safe for use. And it's had a hole drilled into it. Something to think about.

vintage helms look cool as fuck.

thats about it. mount it on a wall, and if you ever have a real crash, put the helmet that saved your life beside this one and recognize how happy you are that you were wearing your new helmet with over 30 years more of technology behind it then the bell, not to mention how the foam will not have been degrading for year...

now, if i could have a bell moto 3 design, but a totally new helmet? count me in, ill buy two ;)

Naw, it wasn't an impact. The helmet was too "pristine" for my friend's taste so he dragged it on the asphalt while we were skateobarding back to the car to give it some character.

Might be unsafe, who knows. Feels hella sturdy and fits better than most helmets i've tried on or owned. I've got a couple vinage 3/4 lids that i wear daily and this will be a nice addition.

I appreciate the concern, but i didn't make it this far in life by making reckless decisions.

The stuff that protects your noggin is a padding similar to styrofoam. Try pouring gasoline on styrofoam. Now think of a helmet that has been around for four decades. How much gasoline do you think its come in contact with? This includes sitting it on the tank since gasoline vapors make there way into the helmet. Also realize that there are things in your sweat that are caustic to this material. Again, how much of these (albeit diluted) caustic substances have come into contact with the padding over the decades of this helmets life? This is all assuming that the helmet has never been dropped from more than a few feet off the ground, much less been in a crash. A helmet can look absolutely fine, yet be damaged to a point that it will not properly protect your head in case of a collision.

So yes, if you consider riding with inadequate protection to be reckless, you are indeed making a reckless decision. Especially with a hole drilled in the helmet.. you really are naive if you think wearing this thing on your bike is anything but a fashion statement. If you are fine with this, then fine, but I find it disingenuous for you and others to propagate this notion that a 40 year old helmet is adequate protection in case of an accident.
