Duc 696 shocker for the cb350 single swing arm project: $18.00 :D and a teaser pic of what's in store as funds come available, but with a single nut rear wheel ;D

You need to re-weld the tabs back on and re-fit the outer support plates on swing arm pivot
They are not just there to hold footrests and exhaust

Thanks PJ, ;) I realized I had screwed that one up a little while ago when mounting up my stock arm and it seemed to "flex" the pivot bolt. If I'm remembering my engineering correctly I believe I've taken the bolt from a double sheer to a single sheer, I'll correct it when I figure out the top mount for the shock an also put a hoop on the rear of the frame.

Is that caliper metal or plastic?
Probably 'standard Chinese' electronics so it should work OK
It looks good even if it is cheap 8)
You can always modify it, I cut up one of the $14.00 ones to use as a DRO ;D

Stainless. Not bad I thought for $8

1981 cx500D

more of an acquisition than a purchase, all i've got invested in it right now is 15 bucks in gas to the guy who helped me go get it...

won't start on this one til after the cb900 is done though

Just got this the other day - a GS850 tank that holds almost 6 gallons. I want to be able to make a transition from "sport" to "sport touring" (my current GS450 tank is on the left):

The front frame mounts are perfect, and the bars even clear no problem. I do need to work out the rear tank mount though:

I started looking around the second hand shops for old signs and stuff, this is my first score for the RC section and it was only $8. (it a steel one, not plastic!)

Nice one Rich! That's a whole deal larger than the 450 tank... and yeah there are times I wish my 450 tank was a little larger too... is that length gonna mean redoing the front of the seat pan as well?

Thanks Pete!

It would require some changes to the seat, so what I will probably do is find another seat pan. That way I would have the 450 tank and fiberglass seat for the day to day riding, but the 850 tank and a "cargo friendly" seat for longer jaunts.

Good plan Rich! The 450 tank sure looks good on there with that seat, so would be a shame to mess it up when you can have the best of both worlds instead :)
