Well after sleeping on it a few nights, I finally pulled the trigger and bought some new gear. I can't wait to get home from this sh!t hole, try it on and go play! I couldn't not do it! The prices were just too good. After a lot of internet research for the right price, I managed to get everything for about 58% off retail. My helmets have been down (I don't wear them anymore afterwards) or they are just old. My two leather suits have seen better days as well. One has been down four times and the other has been down twice. They are still in great shape considering the damage given, but it's time to up grade to the Arlen Ness K12 Kangaroo suit! I can't wait to get home from this sh!t hole of a place I'm at to see this thing! And my helmet is a Bell Star Carbon. Both items have received great reviews! I can't wait!
Fuck i bought that outta pocket those bastards at nationwide have a special place in hell! they sell you the perfect policy tell you everything you want to hear and still figure out how to screw ya. it like prom night in reverse
Got my seat for my rigid XS. On its way to me now. 12 inches wide at the widest point. Planning on leaving it bare - might cover each spring with a leather sleeve and see if it's comfortable. If not just a minimal leather cover leaving as much of the frame exposed as possible. Typically the vinyl cover on a seat like this would have been backed with a layer of wool or something to improve comfort. So maybe a cut out of thick wool blanket material glued and sewn to the underside of a leather cover.
Super stoked - just mounts at the front and the spring is adjustable.
Until you have to pay out....................................
Tim, that seat looks great, but, I think you'll have to flip the rear spring hooks (so the 'pointy' end is down)
