Sleek & Sexy CL360

Man that looks good i love the seat and I'm glad you didn't paint the tank it looks really good like that. The exhaust and the headlight really tie it all together nice.

That looks great Mate. Great work on the photography too. It'll be so wicked running it down the road.

it's amazing how a wearing a dress can attract the girls. i've done it before and felt violated. ;D it wasn't all bad.

Stu, I'm afraid your avatar instantly negates you macho-ing up his dress. That being said I played Rif-Raf from Rocky Horror Picture Show at the mid night matinee for six weeks. I have to say my black teddy and fish nets trumps your avatar and the dress.

Hey Mahoney, don't let 'em get you down. There mad you got a sweet looking bike and had more fun Saturday night... IMO

Joe was spot on with the wrap. Jordan and I re-wrapped the pipes after soaking them today-- 100x better with two people. These are drying out in front of the space heater all night and tomorrow they'll get a coat of black to keep em fresh... Also, getting them on so much tighter, and after some maneuvering, we got the wrap to go all the way to the ends leaving only about 1" of exposed pipe as opposed to the 6 or so I had before. Sorry I forgot to get the ends in the photo.

I think they've tightened up as they've dried out cause they are on there snug. Much better.

Cant wait to see your bike finished man. 1+ on you keeping that tank it really stands out againt the black, gives it a very nice vintage feel. I like the seat also though I thought you were gonna go with a lower thinner one. Hvae you thoght of using the teardrop tail light I think it would add to the vintage feel.

I would have liked to have gone a little thinner and lower, but since I made this out of the stock seat pan, this was about as low/thin as I could get it without hitting bare metal. But I'm pretty happy with how it sits.

Finished the pipes, looks a little wet or something in this photo. They look a lot better in person:

Pods arrived this week. I'm halfway tempted to pull the carbs back off and paint them, they stick out more than I'd like in all that black:

Disassembled the new turns, painted the housing. Back together:

Still waiting on the last of the parts... New grips, new levers/perches, taillight, gotta order new exhaust brackets, new cables, etc. Went on a decent ride yesterday on Jordan's KZ... felt so good! I've got the spring fever BAD!

HELP!!! I'm going to go kick only, so the starer cylinoid (spelling?) goes in the 'leftover parts bucket'. I need some way to cap the hole left on the engine. I heard you can find something like a stopper or something like that... any ideas? I also need some CHEAP oem emblems for the tank. Anybody have some they want to send my way? Thanks guys!

Looks really good man! For some reason the camera picked up all the texture on those wraps. Youll have to grap another photo in different light. I agree that the wrap job looks much better. It took me a few tries to get mine right too.
Here is some info from another member on the forum about a starter plug. "The CJ360 has no starter or solenoid. It is wired without them from the factory. The shop manual has a section for the CJ wiring diagram. I plan to use the CJ wiring diagram for my CB360. I found a starter plug. Here is the part# 32951-310-810. May be hard to find. I found mine on eBay. Hope this helps...Dan".
I decided to leave my starter but it is not wired. Figure I'll carry a jumper wire with me in a leather tool pouch I plan for under the seat. It may come in handy.

I think you're thinking of the starter itself. If so, DropBars has the best one out there. Check out his website: www.dropbars.com

Kilts are the only exception.... and even then it's a stretch...

Me... just after I ATE A BABY!

I rock a kilt at least twice a month! Now I'm larger than most so I don't catch any shit for it, but I do get lots of female attention.
They always wanna know if I'm wearing it traditionally or not, the answer of course is that there's only one way to wear a kilt!

huge HUGE HUGE diff from rocking a Kilt and a dress! I myself have a kilt i used to wear to family functions and Irish step dancing my cusins where in... but rockin the dresses as pictured earlier... that is completely diffrent... hell i got Samoan buddies that are as large as houses and still rock a lava lava. i mean that... large as a house!

Heh...yeah my lifting partner Imo is Samoan and he's a big boy.
Those cat's can eat too, I love going over to his family's place for food, they roast a pig in a pit in the backyard once a fookin' week regardless of weather!

(one post: thoroughly derailed!)

does he have any traditional ink?! my buddies dad does that tat work! i begged and begged fro him to give me some trad lines.. but he always said NOPE!

HA! Yeah, he's pretty well inked up. His granda does it, whacks away with a stick fer chris'sakes!
Imo says his granda is ready any time I am, he "always wanted to work on a whitey"....then the whole family laughs like it's the best joke ever. I dig'm but trying ot follow Samoan humor is a stretch sometime.
I'm gonna ask him to do something on my back this summer I think....

Wow... bumped to the 3rd page!

This weekend I learned how to weld! Practiced on some coupons, then built my license/taillight bracket. It feels good to know that I actually welded something on this bike! I'm not terrible at it, I just need to practice. Had some perfect beads, and some chicken shit beads.

My par-for-the-course work:

It seems a little heavy duty for this purpose, but it gets the job done.

Painted up and mounted:

I think it sits a little high/wide, but maybe it's just because I've been staring at this skinny bike for weeks... This week Jordan and I are hoping to get some time to finish the front end, and maybe do the wiring...

That looks really good--especially for your first go at welding. I like the design too. Welding is fun isn't it?
