Nope, cant do it. That is the same weekend as the Mods vs. Rockers cafe racer event in Charlotte. Ya'll have fun! Don't get taken out by any squids...

Hmmm. I didn't even know there was a MvR event in Charlotte or I probably wouldn't have suggested the date. You should post the info on the regional board.

Oh well, I'd rather be riding in the mountains than hanging out in a parking lot with a bunch of scooters anyway. ;)

HAHA! As promised. It was great to here this. I'm PUMPED for this year.

EDIT: I guess I should clarify that this link is to the podcast from last years Do The Ton meet at the Dragon. I'm laughing my ass of listening to this.

Oh man, I'm blasting that at work and getting the weirdest looks, Dustin.

My face hurts from laughing. Damn we had a good time. I hope this helps push people that are on the fence about going. We will absolutely be recording another podcast!

Beware, www.punkincentermotorcycleresort.com has apparently been hacked. It's trying to redirect to some .ru site that wants to run a cgi script.

Okay, at least I'm not the only one having trouble with their website. I thought maybe I had a virus.

Yeah, it's too bad about this being the same weekend as Charlotte Mods vs Rockers. I didn't even realize until I mentioned it to the DTT Triangle guys.

So I'll throw this out there again this year, is there anyone heading up from Florida who needs either a few people, or if my buddy falls through, just me, to ride with (safety in numbers!)? I'm still debating riding or trailering, but hoping to ride this year and hopefully having another friend ride his up there as well. So this is an open invitation to anyone heading north from FL to meet up and cruise together on the 2-lane back-highways (not a fan of Interstates, too many people on their cell phones). It's about 10 hours from Jacksonville to Punkin Center, so I'm hoping to leave either Thursday evening and avoiding Atlanta morning rush hour, arriving at Punkin at about 6am (yes, riding through the night) or leaving about 2am from here and getting to Punkin about noon-time. So anyone heading up alone, give me a shout.

How about we do this ride Friday or Saturday?

Leave after breakfast and then stop in Bryson City for Lunch. Avoid Cherokee as much as possible and then come back around the park and get back about dinner time. It is about an hour longer than the ride we did on Saturday last time (which is here - http://g.co/maps/nne62). It would be a full day ride.

The other day, we could do the same or similar ride we did last time, but backwards. You know, so it seems different.

Maybe something like this:

Near the farthest point is the Nantahala Outdoor Center which is pretty cool. My family has gone rafting there several times. They have a nice restaurant so we could stop there to eat, watch the rafters go by and go down and stick our feet in the river. I know for a fact they serve beer there.

Thats a hell of a ride! Looks like fun though, should be some good views and some great curvy roads. Cant wait!!!

That shit just ain't right man! Hopefully I can redeem myself this year and drop that damn nickname.

Just a bit of ribbing between men. In all reality you were being smart and riding in your comfort zone. A little ribbing is much better then crashing while trying to prove something. You know we only poke fun out of love. ;)
