Your bike is a big moped. It had 2 coils. 1 for lights, 1 for spark. Connect the dots and it should work. If not, go with the process if illemination. It;s not that hard really..

So, I now have spark. Hooray. Compression and Spark, now all I need is fuel.

Speaking of fuel... As mentioned before, I did not have a key for my locking gas cap. One flathead screwdriver and a hammer later:

After seeing that, I decided to move on to the carb. The slide is frozen in place, and I can not get it to move. So, I pulled the old carb out and replaced it with a nice VM28 I had sitting on the shelf. I hope to rig up a temporary tank to see if I can get it running this weekend.

If anyone here has a cheap DT250 tank sitting around, let me know.

So, last night I replaced the front end with that of a RD400. For now, it is sitting on a RD Mag wheel, but it is only a placeholder until I find a spoked disc.

I need to cut off a steering lock. It is preventing the front end from turning to the left at all.

it should sit normal, because the frames are very similar for the 125 and 250. Where did you get the tank? i really like it and wany one for my bobber project!

DTs make excellent around-the-town kind of bikes. Utility bikes if you have lots of property, as well. THey're zippy and responsive at low speeds.

However, the RD400's testicles are logarithmically larger.
If you have to keep one, keep the RD.
If you *can* keep both, however, do so.

I was out messing with the DT yesterday. I pulled the seat off, so I can get an idea for what I want to do with the rear end of this thing.

I also picked this thing up for the front end.
