So,

I got some time in the shop last night. Swapped the triple trees (again). This time I am using the DT triples with the RD400 legs. I currently have a XS650 rotor bolted to the front wheel, but it is too large for the caliper I have. I have a standard RD400 front rotor that I will swap in.

I also swapped out the DT rear wheel for the RD400 mag (with Disc brake setup). There are a few spacing issues. So, I am going to swap out the swingarm. I will run the RD400 swingarm. This will allow me to use all of the standard spacers. The RD swinger is just a hair shorter than the DT.

The stock DT shocks may pose some problem with the rear disc brake setup, but I have the option to run a set of RedWing hammerheads.

The DT swinger and the rd swinger were not a direct swap. So I cut down a spacer or two and now have a perfectly alligned rear wheel with Caliper hanger. After playing with the caliper itself on the hanger, I will have to use a shim or two on th caliper, but that is easy.

The front wheel will also need a spacer/dust cover. The DT triples are narrower than the RD triples. So, the speedo drive was too large to fit. I started to grind it down, and went a little too far. Destroyed it. Ha. The disc side spacer is perfect, though.

So. I think I am going to run the original seat pan with low profile foam and a new custom cover.

I need to weld up a bracket for the rear MAster Cyl, but I think I have all of the necessary parts for the front and rear discs.
