The SkyTeam 'Ace' Resource

2 hours on the M1 into the city in peak hour was less than ideal!

These things never happen just around the corner from home on a quiet weekend!

My recent mishap occurred in three lanes of traffic travelling at 70 to 80 k/h with nowhere to turn off.

just found this on the web:
http://die-kleinkraftrad-ig.de/wissensdatenbank/reparaturanleitungcg125.pdf
a complet cg 125 manual

Ace starts well with full choke then to half choke pretty quickly, then sit for a while. Then a few minutes down the road I can happily turn the choke off. Idle through all of this activity is at 1400rpm.

After 10-15 min stop start riding, idle is 2500rpm and settles there.

After a couple of hours sitting, it starts with no choke at 1400rpm and after about 10-15 mins of riding idle is 2500rpm again.

Bike is now at 1800km. 800km since I last set the tappets to recommendation in the manual. Are they likely to be the cause? Guesses at what I will find when I do them this weekend?

Giant request from any Ace owner with a manual...I have lost mine while moving house and would be extraordinarily grateful if someone could scan me a copy or pdf or anything.

I think this has been posted previously, but I can't remember where!

This is a low-res version; I can send you a better quality file if needed.

That would be incredible if you could Crazy, no huge rush, just whenever you have a moment. Thanks so much for the low resolution version, definitely better than nothing!

Cheers

This is not a great deal better, but I think it is probably the best available!

It came as 40 separate jpg images, so it took a bit of time to convert it to a single pdf.

thanks to the guys at Ikonik i got my new tank in the post today
i noticed that the outlet pipe was longer then my first run ace tank , this means that it effectively makes the reserve smaller and the main bigger by lowering the siphon tube.
I also had to file one of the fuel cap tang cutouts as it was off line a bit and the cap wouldnt go on. 5 mins with a file fixed that.
Got the new tank stickers on as well. had them made up for the ace at the local sign writer.
Happy with the way they turned out .

Anyone got a picture of what they use for their fuel filler cap gasket... I put a thick rubber on mine.. sealed it really well, not a spill came out.

BUT it starved my carburettor of fuel!! Is that even possible? Tried it on two separate runs to work and with the rubber it started stalling and I had to lift the cap to let some air in...

whats the solution? sick of my fuel leaking :(

Yeah it is possible to create an air tight seal on the cap so that a vacuum forms and fuel slows down coming out the tap and your engine is using more then it can get.

I added a thin leather i made, its only about 1mm , it didnt stop it totally so i might have to try a rel honda gasket yet.

yeah i left the old rubber one underneath,
you need to make sure its cut back so air can get round the edges and it dosnt block off the holes, fuel will find its way though the cap under hard braking as well as it is designed to vent though there.

A work in progress, lots more to be added to the destination site. Including the rest of the std available colours, land speed record bikes, pics of all the cool mods and links to dealers.

This will go on the sidecovers of my Ace, maybe with Espresso Racer written underneath.

Also plan to print some cards with it and tinyurl.com/espressoracer on, for those times where there just isn't time to stand and talk or you have said it so many times that you leave stuff out :)

I used OnePager deliberately to create the site. Want to keep it lean and readable, so won't be overloading it. The long review at the end is for the real keen ones.

Feel free to download and use this QR code or PM me for an original copy.

What was the up shot of your sprocket issue Crazy? Anything for the rest of us to look out for in particular?

Stuck these in my wallet this morning and gave the first one away to a guy who rides a GN125 for a living, delivering for DX Mail, so he understood how much fun little bikes can be.

He loved to take something away and it was a way of signalling the end of the conversation :) Nice as it is to talk, I had heaps more riding to do!

And here is a very cool thing. You can make your own QR Code with whatever image you choose in the middle.

Go to http://www.qrcode-monkey.com/
Type http://tinyurl.com/espressoracer as the URL
Tick Include logo/image
Click on the Own Logo-Image tab
Upload your image
Click on Create QR-Code
Then download and test

You can experiment with resolution (so far I have just used 15)
