Yes but like I said, I am way out of the way anyway. I got the time this year so I'm ok with it. If it ends up just me it will be easy enough, if I am bringing my wife and son, gets a little more complicated but that's fine. I just need to get a hitch on the truck to tow the bikes down.

Love the deals gap idea. Of course Ohio works too. The problem is going to be finding a place that will accept not only the numbers, but the liability issues, and also be willing to allow us to have a little fun.
Something to keep in mind is that there were probably 30 some people at my place last year. I can easily see the numbers climb over 100. The amount of inquires I've had are unreal. No way those numbers could be done here. I'm really sorry about that. But its time for growth and probably time to move it to a more central location. Anyhow, with those kind of numbers you also get into a problem with keeping it family friendly. I know most of us are low key but you know how it goes..And by family friendly I understand there are different limits. For instance my wife usually leaves once the strippers show up. I understand there are other women who are a little more liberal than that. i say lucky for you! haha

Good point Troy. I think if it is someplace like Tennessee I would either fly in close and bum a ride with someone or ride it solo and connect with some people on the way. Dragging the family that far might not work so well, my wife likes the bike but has a set limit of bikeness, ie talking wrenching etc.

Well, you guys discuss it. We can come up with a few ideas and toss them up there for a poll toward the end. I just want it to be fun for everyone, and I think it will be just because of the company....but ya know...the roads around the campground could make it spectacular. Like Louie said, if you're gonna drive, make it worth it.
To me a campground would be primo because there will inevitably be wrenching going on. That would allow us to set up a "garage tent" to do repairs and what not. It would also be more open for everyone to just mingle than a hotel (yuck). Something to consider.

If we can nail down a location, then we can start arranging the car pool "bike pool" routes for everyone. I also think that it is early enough to get reservations for wherever we need to. I'm glad this is rolling now instead of the last minute. With this kind of planning it will be amazing.

just an idea... but how about Ocean City, MD... we could camp at assateague island national seashore... or there is a bunch of other camp sites close to there

I'm in, but I need a time asap so I can put in for vacation. Obviously, being in Michigan, Ohio would be great, but I'm going to be there no matter where it is.
Ive camped all over OC on and off over the past 20 years. Tough as hell to get (a) camp site about anywhere there not to mention that it is very East coast. Its a beautiful area but I really can't see making it work
Yeah, I have been trying to figure out a way to get a DTT mashup at Deal's Gap for a while now. I have been. I will never forget it. Trust me when I say that it is by far some of the most beautiful riding I have ever had the pleasure of participating in.

Alright guys... Seems like Tenn is what some here are really gravitating towards. Fine w me, as long as its fine w/ yinz. Now the big question... Whos going to find a camp thats ok with 100 of us showing up? Ill look around online after work, but dont know the area AT ALL, so recommendations/ideas would be helpful. Seeing as the end of July has been thrown around and a few guys already have the time off, lets shoot for that. Any issues with that?

Deals sounds as perfect as we could ever get. I'm sure the area campgrounds are used to having bikers too. That is very, very important if you ask me. Also, soooo much better riding than flat lands too. Week of July 23 ish is about when we did the GTG last year. I know there are others who were trying to get that time off. It works for me
