Hi Gents,

So late last year I got a cheap TRX850 and so.... project time.

Here is how it starts... badly shitter..




Notice the Wheels.... Marchesini. I sold those for more than I paid for the bike !!!

and the Brakes... Brembos.... SOLD as well.. and forks and dash and so on.

G'day mate - I take it you're in Oz? Looks like a Jap import TRX judging by the frame / engine colour combo.


Sounds like you've got some tasty plans for this one - keep the updates coming!

Wow looks like a very nice project! I would love to get my hands on one of these 850's one day. Your mock up looks sweet, I like the low level pipes personally. Oh and and if it were me I'd want a 5 spoke front wheel too. Looking forward to seeing progress!

The R1 wheel is 5 spoke - yes.

Mock up with seat on to see if the lines are ok. I didnt think initially the tail pointed skywards enough but now the seat is on I think its ok.
What are your thoughts ?
Carbon fibre ducktail is a piece of kit, mmm.

Looks killer.

I take it that that's the 1098 rear tail? Is it possible to metal work the Yamaha knee dents to crease the edges to match the hard feature lines of the tail section.
