they can be good to go if cured at 750 for an hour, but i do not know any shops that fully cure ceramics since most will go on the part and see those temps in operation. ceramic is pretty go partial cure at 500 but will really need a good in operation cure cycle to be fully cured. there are always low temp ceramics that fully cure in air after 5 days or 200* in the oven for 2 hours, but all the high temp ones obviously need to see heat to be able to see 1200-2000 degree operation temps. We always recomend our customers cure cycle after install
 
another option is high temp powder as well, that also cures in operation and works awesome! pretty much all my bikes, sleds, and quads i run high temp powder as ceramic calls for a complete change of operation in the shop. plus ceramic only has so much of a shelf life so opening it up to shoot one small pipe can cause the rest of the material to start the count down till it is no longer good. so we like to get a good size few orders together before we shoot it. lately we have been shooting it pretty often with all the custom pipes and headers we have been making for the race car world though
 
Joe on the chrome wheel that was pitted and separating, what process did you use to remove it before powder?
 
depends on the chrome and how it is adhearing... sometimes we will chemical strip it, others we will blast it (we have a cabinet dedicated to blasting chrome) others we can clean up the shitty areas, zinc primer it and then block and coat that area... each part is different to figure out what is the best, most durrable, and reliable process to get the best possible finish for the customer
 
Thanks for the response, I have some wheels on my rig that the chrome is separating and I have been trying to decide what to do with them.
