Wife Bike - CB100

"mid-high rpm" - which is usually around 3/4 to 7/8 throttle. Just off below the main jet, using the top end of the needle jet.

I really suggest using the radiator hose! Made an enormous difference on my bike!

WOT was corrected by lowering the jetting on the carb (110 stock and jetting down to 105). This is opposite from what I was use to when putting stacks/pods on bikes. The issue that I have left is that at mid high RPM it just starts sputtering out.

The issue isn't with throttle, its with RPM. I can be WOT , 50% throttle etc it doesn't make a difference once it hits a specific RPM is when it starts to cut out.

I have a couple shots from Kiley's :)

Sorry if this isn't 100% understandable : but bear with me. In my experience, a throttle issue could very well be turbulence as Juan describes. It's only a little radiator hose - so worth the effort. Or it could be an out of tune exhaust - though the intake has a much greater effect.

Ignition isn't a likely culprit, since electronics tend to get much worse at high rpm. If the problem were compression it would start off bad and get worse. However, being a thumper, you'll find that anything you can do to tune the motor will help immensely. That's why I asked about the engine breather tube.......

Alright, I am trying to sell this now. Here is the sale thread. Help me find a buyer.

Thanks man! I will miss it when its gone, but I just dont have any use for it living out in the 'country' and needing to go above 50 to get out of my neighborhood.

You know..... If you guys wanted to hang on to it for a bit you could throw it on the trailer and she can ride in the Tiguan with us to the "Thaw"...

She never made it out of first gear, ripping around the thaw is still a ways out. Needs to take abate before I let her rip around.

Nope Its sold, guy picked it up today. Wanted to let her try to rip around on it before it sold. She's into the idea again of getting a bike, but im going to make her go through abate before I look into getting her a bike again.

Had to grab and desk top a couple of your pics... I think the 71 CL100 in the barn has a new game plan since one side cover went awol and the other one crumbled away to dust...

The difference in a CB or CL that little is what, the tires?

I'll have to go back through this thread, I know Lisa's little beater bike is going to need some work that you are sure to have done on this one. Hope the new owner does it justice.

I was just wondering what you used to wrap those handles? Looks pretty cool.

I used bicycle bar tape. We used Cinelli Cork tape and had the upholster match to color for the seat.

The difrerence should be like any other cb/cl. High pipe, more aggressive tire (from the factory), slightly higher bars. Not sure about the 100/125 but on the larger bikes the tanks (and sometimes seats) are different as well.

Vinzer nailed it above, on a side note, I do have a set of L/R side covers I would sell you for dirt cheap along with some other random parts. They would need painted.
