Wow Troy... Been a while since I've seen your progress. That thing is incredible! Burlesque dancer getting railed by a vintage Singer sewing machine comes to mind. Yummy...

to be honest i am not 100% sure... i would think that it would but have never put that to the test... problem is the diff in heat from a oven is diff from that of a bike, so i could not really test it by sticking it in the oven. to be honest... if it does, cool, if it doesnt cool... it is kind of a win win on this one. i do think that trying to blue the pipes would be cool as hell though
Ended up doing em in VHT Flat black. I really like the way they look. Once photo bucket gives me my account back I'll post pics.

Damn bro you've been hitting the beer and ice creme like me? I think if I cut some of that kind of crap out I'd probably drop quite a few.

hahaha. Thanks man. I'll tell ya what. Go to Gretta's build log and stare for a few hours and you'll forget all about her sister Willow. I used to do that very thing back in 9th grade when I went out with a girl but had a major crush on her older sister. Worked every time ;D ;D

Oooooh, time to pay the $30! Hahaha.

I'll be damnd if I pay photobucket anything. The fuckers piss me off! I'll spend that much needed money on parts! ;) ;) hahaha.

Sorry fellas but as many of you already know, it looks like I exceeded my photo limit for the month. Dumb ass photobucket. No way am I going to Upgrade after they just cut me off like that. Fuckers! They sent me an email and said I'll be back on line the 14th.
Anyhow, After staring at the pipes for two days I changed them a bit. Not too much though because I like the way the fit and they have a cool factor of being CB 7750 header pipes. There was something I didn't like and that's how they met the curve just behind the motor. So basically I made them a little shorter. What it did is allow the bend in the frame behind the motor to be seen. I ran into the same problem on the other side with the kickstand being too long and covering up that same bend. It drove me crazy until I moved the mount forward. Its funny how something so small can make a huge difference (in my warped mine anyhow ;D ). I think you all will approve. You can thank Photobucket for lack of a picture...The fuckers anyhow.

So I ordered brass brake and clutch levers. Thought about em for over a month. finally decided I wouldn't know unless I try em on. I'm fighting that restraint thing. Its tough to not just go hog wild and add a bunch of brass. I don't want to cross that line.
Anyhow, the last few days I've been doing small things here and there like cutting down cables. I had been looking for old bicycle metal cable housings but no luck what so ever so I gave up. Just cutting down what I have.

also on the way is leather grip wrap. It should match the seat.
I need to find a single pull throttle tube. The one I had I cut the tube too short and screwed it up. Sad thing is I dont know why I did it and even worse cant remember doing it...getting old sucks!
Kiley said he may have one so well see if it fits.

So anyhow, installed the chain and started installing the rear brake linkage though I still need to paint the brake linkage arm at the pedal. Stuck some brake/clutch levers on so I could measure cable length. Started soldering ends on the cables but having a hard time getting my old rusty cables clean enough to accept solder. So that's about where she is at. Nothing picture worthy but I'll bitch at photobucket one last time because they are such a pain in the ass.

Re: Willow..Alchemy upholstery rocks!

Cables....What about soft copper tube? You could use lengths of that and run the cables through it and get nice smooth bends etc. Same stuff you used on the vent tube and fuel lines. Might look ok and tie in? May be overkill but it should work. You would just need to put a section of flexable in where it needs to mover for steering purposes. Can't wait till you get bandwidth back, or you could email a few pics to me or Kiley or someont to post for you on our accounts ;D then we wouldn't have to wait.

Re: Willow..Alchemy upholstery rocks!

Just caught up on Willow's progress the other day! Wow man looks excellent. Glad I caught up before photobucket screwed you. I guess you will be back up in a few days though. Looking for forward to the next pics!

Re: Willow..Alchemy upholstery rocks!

Hey guys, talked to Troy today, he's all tied up for a few days, he wanted me to let you kids know. He'll be back shortly. Just passing the message on.

Hmmm...not sure. Might be a bit too much with more copper lines. Also most of the cables need to bend a good bit. Might be able to do small sections I guess??
Oh, and sorry to make ya wait ;D

Thanks for making that post bud. Yeah fellas I was out of town for a few days but now I'm back at it full force.

My Royal Enfield knock off brass levers were waiting on me when I got home. They were kinda big but I knew that when I ordered them. Figured I'd give em a little treatment. There are a couple problems. First they sent two right hand levers so I flipped one over. They are also lacking the mount bolts for the levers to the perches. The bolt I picked up is a little smaller in dia and they feel a little floppy. I sent an email to the company but haven't heard back yet. Anyhow,
leather wrap for the grips came as well.

This is what they looked like out of the package minus the magic marker lines ;D :

Did some trimming and brushed them a bit to give a little patina. I love the feel of the brass:

Stuck the wrap on:

Love the simplicity and cleaness:

Hopefully tank will get lined tomorrow and then the two halves bonded together. Should be able to start prepping for paint soon. Still need to order vintage wiring from Low brow
