barfass said:I thought it very strange, but in the Honda Manual it specifically states to put the gears in the upper case first and then mate the two together. I scratched my head for a very long while but thought I should do it since the bearing clips and plugs are in the top case - or go "in" the top case. I managed to do it (holding the gears in with my fingers and flipping it over and onto the bottom case) with only one bearing not seating properly in to the plug. A little spinny-spinny and it was all together and loving each other. Fairly easy engine to work on. I did manage to get the non-adjusting cam chain guide in backwards however. Thankfully noticed before torquing everything down. Looking good SpeedBump!
