Winter project CB550

I'm looking at it now and idk if I can even get the chain out far enough to without hitting the frame. Not really worried about stressing the shaft.

The 600 runs a 180 but is a different wheel. I could run a 180.

It's as much of a sprocket spacing issue as tire. I flipped the sprocket on the wheel and that got me about a 1/4" so plus the cycle ex offset drive sprocket I may be damn close.

Maybe an SV650 rear wheel? When I was racing AFM, there were quite a few sv's that were running gixxer front ends and stock rears...

how much does that drive sprocket off set? maybe you could cheat the wheel to the right enough to work?
 
3/8" so according to my layout here I need to move sprocket another 1/4" for a total of 5/8" so clear the tire by 1/8"

can you space the drive off that 1/4"? with out extending the shaft? how about frame Clarence now? i still think it would look great with a tmono shock set up! lol

Not sure yet. I will be damn close to frame if I can. I can make a decent sprocket if need be.

ah! my new best friend! i have a decent small machine shop for the watches, but nothing over 4" cross over.

I've seen the sv650 wheel on a cb750. It's close to matching the front but its not exact and I think that would really bug me.

so did you have to use the stock bearing seat on the upper and lower of the stem? or just the lower? i should never throw out little things like that stock bearing seat.. dammmmit. that rear tire is gonna be awesome man. im doing a mono shock setup from a mid 90's honda cr500, made things really easy in order to get a wider wheel in the rear cause a company (warp9racing.com) makes a direct replacement 4.25" supermoto rear spoked wheel. also was nice for the rear caliper upgrade.. the whole wheel including the sprocket and brake rotor was like 500. not bad in my opinion.

I wanted to do warp9s with custom hubs but it adds up to $1500. Maybe later I will.

I only needed to spacer the lower bearing. The top is perfect with just bearing.
