XV920 "Short Bus"

Re: XV920 "Short Bus"

All right. I have about a three week deadline to meet if I want to embarrass myself at the upcomng Gilmore Vintage show.

I got started reinstalling the electrical stuff tonight - I made a new plate for the MOSFET r/r and started putting lights on.

Engine covers are painted. I need to enamel the HA in red on each.

And my wife (notable here for not being colorblind) grabbed the paint for the tank, so hopefully I can knock that out this week.

2k clear is already waiting; need to finish and paint the license plate bracket and my exhaust mount.

You most definitely will embarrass yourself if you show up in about three weeks, as that is the weekend for the "All air-cooled cars Show".

Gilmore Vintage *Bike* Show is in a bit less than TWO weeks. Better get to crackin' there boy.

After having a pic of this posted on my thread, I'm a little less confused. But then I'm not. Okay back into the hedge maze.

That is not good

No shit. Spent most all the day yesterday working on the GT250's final assembly. Discovered some issues that NEED definite correction.

Starting to feel like one of them biker-build TV shows......here's an engine, a pile of tubing and 2 tires....you have one week to build a custom bike.

Whoa... HE SAID HE WANTS TO SELL IT.

I told you, spend time with dumbasses (Russ...) and it affects you in a negative way.

Re: XV920 "Short Bus"

It's more that I have to sell it in order to build the XS, pot.

Are you familiar with the phrase, "throwing good money at bad" ?

Re: XV920 "Short Bus"

I will admit that the more I look at the XS parts the more it strikes me that the whole thing would be best served by being further disassembled and mailed to people

Just be sure to get that smell of old urine out of them parts before you start shipping them off around the country.

Re: XV920 "Short Bus"

Got it. I just gave all the XS parts to your son and he's going to clean the PW80 carb for me
