+1 on the YJ. Got mine for 3 grand, and it was like a tank. It could go anywhere. It has 35s with all suspension lift.
This was my 88 wrangler that I unfortunately had to sell. It needed some work to be totally dependable but I wasn't in a position to fix it up (away at school).
Mine had 230k...
I got a Craftsman arc welder and it works alright. I used it on my car and my bike. It was $150 and works well. My only wish is that it had more amps. It goes up to 90. I managed to weld sheet metal with it, as well as the hoop on the back of my bike. Niether were easy though.
If I had the coin...
So based on your argument, the logical conclusion would be to ban CARS from driving, and instead force everybody to ride motorcycles! Think about it. Increase public transportation, decrease in CO2 emissions, increase in health as people walk more and bike more. Not to mention the thousands...
Depends on compression, and other factors to a lesser extent. My truck gets 87, the 300zx (undergoing turbo conversion) will get 93. Before it got 87. Don't have a bike ATM but my kz650 ran on 87.
A stock engine is most likely good on 87, but with higher compression pistons you may be...
Sold the motorcycle for several reasons. Lost money but thats how it goes. I'll probably get another motorcycle sooner or later, hopefully after I move, although it might be an enduro.
It's been fun folks
Well obviously these things can depend on what parts you want and what bike you have, so being general can be misleading. If you know what I mean.
Handlebars are easy to instal but oftentimes your cables and wires will be longer than necessary. This may or may not cause an actual issue but I...
Hi, I'm interested in selling my bike. I don't think now is the best time for me to get into motorcycles. I would like to sell it to fund another project. Also I might be moving soon and I won't be able to take it with me. I have spent a lot of time on this project. I'll definitely be losing...
Doesn't something have to be copyrighted, for it to be copyright infringement?
They might have taken it down or maybe even given you some free spikes, but I doubt you had any legal standing.
Here's the wiring diagram for my 1980 F1 650.
Might work for you, might not. I think I got mine off kz650.info or kzrider or something. Your best bet is to look in those places.
I removed my main wiring harness but cut out a few of the connectors and re-used them. It wasn't too much...
I am personally not against passing in no passing zones as long as you can see far enough ahead to pass safely. I mean I've seen passing zones where you can't safely pass, but it would be legal too. Should you there instead?
Plus I have no doubt that had the first guy on the bike waited until a...
Right. basically its running lean. I posted the jet sizes above and they were pretty big at 120 or something so I'm thinking maybe the petcock is clogged since it dies randomly after idling well. I did run the tank dry, so I'll probably end up cleaning the carbs again and the tank as well.
I...
1980 KZ650 Running for the first time
1980 KZ650 Idle and rev
And here I was searching for how to embed the video where all I have to do is put a link. LOL.
You guys think thats valve lash or just loud exhaust? It still has a few holes on the left side, but besides that bit I'm happy with the...
I've been really busy the last few weeks, and haven't "seriously" worked on the bike pretty much since my last post. Yesterday I fixed up the other side of the exhaust. The one side still has some holes that need to be patched up, but it looks good and is good enough for now.
Today I started to...
Ahhh yeah.
I had an 84 trans am myself. It had an older 350 and an TH-350 and it was a blast to drive. Mine was black and gold. I strongly recommend you switch in fourth gen seats. They really cleaned mine up and were way more comfortable. I miss mine and would love to get another one later in...
