I miss the GSR..I should stop in for a visit sometime. I sold my 700e last year (to a friend of "unclemike"'s), and haven't visited much since...great bunch of guys over there. Plus, some cool bikes...that one is amazing. Well done sir.
very cool. I love all the sparkly stuff, just because it looks so glaringly different than modern stuff. Somehow I don't see Icaon making some badass shaped helmet in green glitter paint any time soon. :D
there's an awful lot of craigslist stuff locally that definately falls under the "eye of the beholder (of the title)" beauty. I stole my yammie at a consignment auction, and I see bikes locally with twice the miles in half the shape for three times more.

the only issue I'm having with the gauges is that they use a single reminder light for the turn signals. I've got to pick up a relay, because if I wire the existing signal circuits into the wires for the light, I get four way flashers...
So I thought I was done with the paint last weekend, and mounted the tank, got it running, and was thrilled to find that it started right up and ran great. Only to come out 2 days later and see that 2 gallons of gas had leaked from a pinhole in the lower left side of the tank. Ruined the paint...
A good starting point for that type of thing is to take a trip down to the local triumph dealer, and take a peek at the factory cowl seat cover for the thruxton. Its mounted very simply, and looking at it gave me a ton of ideas on what and how to do it. In the end I opted to replace the rear...
