Bum Stop from a Vespa P Series fender. Very happy with the results.

Had done the same thing for my bike. IMO, less pain and you get a perfect shape.

Two-Stroke Collective - 'The Smoking Lounge'

You guys forgot my bike :o. For the pics, follow this thread: http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=6338.0 The Yamaha is back to stock. Anyways, on an unrelated note we have a RX135 (2stroker) and it emits excess smoke. We just completed a full service yesterday.

    Yamaha RXK 135

Nice build. I've made a RX100 cafe racer and this reminds me of just that. For some more pics, follow this thread: http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=6338.0 The tank was stretched by almost five incles. I've noticed that the ride would be EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Try getting in as much...

    Chrome Plating Vs Powder Coating

Well the bike was getting wet all those five days. And maybe the mild steel wasn't of great quality. I've chrome-plated many silencers, handlebars, a cowl, etc from the same guy and the quality is top notch. I have WD-40, but how can it be used to 'coat'? I'll try applying the golden anti-rust...

    Chrome Plating Vs Powder Coating

Well we made some rearsets using mild steel. Got it chrome plated from the regular plater. 5 days passed, and its been pouring heavily here. Lots of rust has appeared on them. Is it better to powdercoat?! Or there isn't any difference?! Have you guys heard of an anti-rust liquid that is applied...

    Show Off Your Seats!

We can all post in pictures of our seats. It'll be great for someone to find a common thread instead of searching for pics of all bikes in different threads. Only finished seats please. Well we've made five seats till now. Black, Chrome, Red, White and Dark Grey in colors.

    Royal Enfield - Pics Uploaded!

Early April 2009 First official project for a friends bike. The bike is a Royal Enfield Standard, 1984 model. Was not in good condition, and the owner wanted to overhaul it completely. So we decided to make it a cafe racer! A small list of planned parts on the bike include: - Goldstar silencer...

    Exploded view of Rear sets...

PaulTSmith Bracket! Thanks to paultsmith! We made a brake lever for an Enfield. The toe peg looks a little chopperish though. Well the outcome was good and decided not the bend the lever to get it outwards. Made them out manually, without a CNC machine.

    DIY Rearsets

Step one complete. Progress: Bolt: Its quite long, so I can cut off how much ever I need. I think its a 10mm bolt. Ball bearing: Got the perfect size. Think its 3/8" itself. Lever: I've given the drawing to a guy who will cut it out in metal. They do not use aluminium. Will be cutting off holes...

    DIY Rearsets

Heck you are maddd! :) This is good stuff! Thanks for answering the question in a very simple yet descriptive manner. I'm working on a friends Enfield now. The brake rearsets will be having this setup, since the brakes (and linkage) are on the left side. This post will help me a lot. You even...

    DIY Rearsets

Hi Paul, This thread is a real help! But I'm kind of confused about something. That bearing is 3/8 inch diameter. And the footpeg bolt is also 3/8". Isn't there any sleeve or bush over the bolt, or the bearing is directly on the bolt and rotates over it?!?! When you tighten the footpeg...

    Raask Rearsets installed! finally

Love the finish of the setup. Are the rear brakes easy to function?! Aren't they too hard to press?! I've tried a somewhat similar setup and if I use the brake spring, the lever is impossible to move. Even if I do remove it, the brake pedal hardly moves and doesnt brake quite effectively.

    Let's see your taillight

Here is the new seat. It isn't completed, just made some small brackets to support the taillights. Any ideas?!

    Let's see your taillight

Nice taillight unit. We were making a flat seat with such a unit, but were facing some difficulties in making the rear plate with the round cut outs for the light. So instead we made temporary small brackets to hold the light. The seat has gone for getting the cover done. Will be delievered...
