as the title says...i am about to install new dyna coils on my cb450....i have heard they are quite easy to fry if done incorrectly.
So....any tips or suggestions?
Still running points and much of the stock wiring will be gutted....
Thanks in advance.....
thanks a lot i really appreciate the help.....ill hopefully get this thing going before too long but you know how bike builds go (especially since this is not my made ride right now....)
awesome set up....thanks for posting them. i have in the mail the xs coils with new plugs and wires.....and new points and condensers are coming as well (from dcc). so with that ignition is it set up similar to stock or is it a turn key ignition? and is that switch next to the key the kill...
well....im fine with no direct link or anything but does anyone know what size forks those are then? its a 1974 cb450.....im assuming they are maybe 33mm or 35mm.....but i really dont know.....
thanks
im going to bump this post because i defiantly have the same question.....mine is a '74 and i am getting rid of the fork boots and would like to just run the dust covers.....any one know what size has worked for them?
check out dimecitycycles.....they sponsor this site and have a lot of great parts that will fit the 7/8 bars. i got a pair of bar end mirrors from them and really like them a lot. but no direct link.....
awesome....thank you so much....i have been looking for quite sometime around at different shops and they all said it would be pretty difficult to find the stainless steel braided lines.....ill definantly be buying some here shortly
so i have a cb450 and was wanting to do stainless steel braided front brake lines. i have taken out the front brake switch so it would just be one banjo fitting going into the hard line that is attached to the caliper. i assume it has to be custom made but can anyone point me in the right...
awesome looking bike. i as well have a cb450....any way you could take some close up pictures of the electronics under the seat? be very much appreciated because that is what is holding up my build right now....thanks
Quick question for the people who run without a speedo and tac....what are some of the pros and cons of not having them? Specifically what do you do about the odometer or trip meter?
I really like the look of no speedo but just not quite sure about ditching it yet.
so i have a 74 cb450k7. i am only running a head light and a tail light (no clickers and no horn). but my question is how do i completely get rid of the stock switches? i want to just have my head light come on when the ignition is on and as for the run/off switch i want to put in some sort...
just saw the movie last night....it was good and very interesting. a little different then what i expected but you can still watch it and learn something. i enjoyed it and will probably watch it a few more times some day
wow...i kinda gave up on this thread after about a week and came back to it this morning....thank you for all the replies.
I have been back and forth on this bike with what to do. Initially i did just want to weld on a hard tail kit but have not really found anything...and well even if i did...
I dont want to steal the thread but thank you for the replies about the petcock. On all of my 2 stroke dirt bikes i never did have a reserve so maybe just removing the tube would be ok. but i will try to heat the tube up and give it a slight bend....if it breaks or kinks....then i guess i will...
well congrats on the bike.
if the bike is running then you should drive it for a week or so to really see what is working and what is not working properly on your bike. also when you park it after riding check to see if oil is leaking out of any bad gaskets...just kinda look over the bike after...
thanks for the posts.
derant...have you ran this product before? I wont be having a rear fender on the bike and was just wondering how you would even mount this.
and as for that straight thin light...well i have seen them before on another bike in a different forum but i can not remember...
