So, you sold a running 750 and bought a 360 to keep? What kind of maniac are you? lol Atleast I am relieved to know she ran for a time. :)

about the fender/fork brace...

Some guys simply find a cheap, rusty, dented fender. Grind the rivets off of it. And use the mounting bracket/brace thats hidden underneath. The part that actually supports the forks and fender itself. The brackets are small and fit pretty close to the tire. Others custom make a brace out of aluminum or whatever. PJ may be able to help w that, I think he made one for his or his sons 360...when hes feeling up to it. He still gets tired pretty easily, but getting better.

I'll have to look into that for the fender, thanks.
Also, I just really like the sleekness of the smaller CC's .. whether or not the general assumption of having a 750 is cooler than a 360.

Re: 1974 honda cl360 brat

Really love how the color came out, still need to wet sand and clear coat. No sandpaper grits over 600 at home depot?
Also, soaked the exhaust wrap and wrapped the headers and then baked them in the oven for a lil

Autozone, advance auto, any place with auto in the name usually has a decent selection of high grit paper. Not sure where you're located so I don't know what your local parts box is called.

Re: 1974 honda cl360 brat

You have some mufflers for that thing or are you going to run them as is?

Re: 1974 honda cl360 brat

Your harness is complete, sir.

Re: 1974 honda cl360 brat

Dont get me wrong. I love my 360. I wouldnt trade her for anything that I can think of off hand. Mine is the first and only bike I have ever ridden / owned. Other than the basket case 350 I cannibalized for the tank, forks and rims.

Re: 1974 honda cl360 brat

I don't remember how many bikes I've had in the last 40+ yrs but CJ250 (with big bore, 391cc) and 360 's are still the most stupid fun bikes ever
Not particularly fast (even when modified)
Lets face it, 115~12-mph isn't quick compared to 1100 from 20+ yrs ago and positively 'slow' compared to a modern 600 (or even 20 yr old 600 ;D )
I've said it multiple times, treat CB/CJ 360 as a mid 60's Triumph 500 twin (particularly when modified)
CJ250 is slower but can be made same as 360 with some machining

DTT Red, White, and/or Black 360 Club - Better than those Blue guys

LOL, Ive taken notice...I dont care how many colors you include...I think we still got you outnumbered. I love it when guys say...A blue 360? Thats pretty rare thing. (read that more than once on here)
Stage 1 is missing a bunch of pics...what color was yours? Red, I assume?

So Zoltan let me be the first to welcome you to the Blue cb360 club. The only reason I yell at you about stuff is I want you to have as much fun and a safe experience as I have had. A tough love sorta thing.

If we dont yell at you about fork braces and frame integrity here...You could be yelled at by an ambulance driver. None of us want that for anyone.

To be perfectly honest. More power (750) might be fun, like on the interstate. But I sure dont NEED it to be any faster than it is.

Well, I'm not sure, there was so many layers of paint but I believe it was a red and white color way (I originally got the tank pink)

blue all the way 8)

Re: 1974 honda cl360 brat

Meant to ask, whats up with the tank? pointing down too far at front, or not low enough at rear?

oh, the tank just isn't even mounted on its sitting there, theres a rubber tube that connects two holes underneath the tank, and I just didn't unhook it and mount if properly (if i unhook it, stuff starts spewing out and the tank is full atm)

Re: 1974 honda cl360 brat
