Seeing that quadracycle made me remember the one I saw at a local car show two summers ago. Registered as a motorcycle, Small block chevy, turbo 350 trans they are available in either a Kit or a finished unit.
Awesome?.. I think so.
Bizzare?.. I'll let you decide.
Want one? ... HELL YEA!

DUDE! Car-o-cycle... Motorcyclar... anywhich way..... It's freaking mad. I want one! I don't think my state here in Oz would allow that thing on the road though... fucking Gastapo ??? But sill.. droolworthy sled mate! Imagine going full-noise on that mutha!? ;D Who the f*ck needs drugs when there's stuff like that to ride!

Its a car. Its got 4 wheels, a car engine, four wheel independent suspension, etc... I dont care how you sit, or what you use to turn it... Its a car.

lol ;D fair point... but by that token quad bikes are cars too? i mean:
QUAD bikes....
internal combustion engine? *check*
four wheels on independent suspension? *check*
handle bars w/hand controls? (instead of a steering wheel?) *check*
sit over the seat? *check* (as opposed to sitting in a seat like in a car)

sounds like quad.. but just with a bigger motor ;D

... all in jest.... relax Yinzer... not busting your chops... just joking around ;)

let's just label it under "meh.. it is what it is.." ... and it just looks cool. We dont have to totally define everything. Maybe we can just allow it to 'be'....? somewhere between a car and a bike?

I do dig the thing. But can there really be such thing as a "quad bike" considering the root word of bike is "bi" indicating 2.... as in 2 wheels? Handlebars a bike does not make. We argue this with those who choose to delve into quad land all of the time. It's a constant source of shit giving around here.

But agreed, that joker looks just dangerous and ridiculous enough to be awesome.

this thing looked pretty cool. its an old railroad bike. i dont know much about it sorry. enjoy!

Yea, and it scares me that you can get your motorcycle licence on a can-am and I wouldn't doubt if you could on that thing. Not dogging on it, its sweet and most likely hauls insane ass with a turbo small block. I would ride one.

Amen... Personally.. I prefer 2 wheels... that is a bike to me... yes.. two wheels.. but we're not discussing personal symantics LOL... at my Local Honda Motorcycle dealer where I used to wrench .... we sold 2 wheel trail bikes.. two wheel road bikes.. and 4 wheelers.. which are generalized by the masses and retailers under the category of "Quad bike"... which is why I used the term "quad bike"... since I was speaking generally.

Most of us generally accept the term Trike "motorbike"... and your little "big wheelers" in the states are called "tri-cycles" coz they have three wheels and you have to cycle to move.. which is where "bi-cycle" comes from - "two wheels.. and you peddle your feet in a cyclic motion to move"... the term "motorcycle" is simply an expansion of that from when they started bolting motors to bicycles.... so if we often refer to a Trike as "trike motorcycle"... by that measure we could also refer to quads as a "quad" motorcycle... and... since we shorten "motorcycle" into "motorbike" coz it has one less syllable we should be able to refer to it as a quad bike... or call it a "quadracycle"... which is what Lazareth called his R1 motored quad best down below ;) (its actually affectionately known as "quadrazilla" since he bolted a supercharger to it later on)
so... car... bike... quad... like you said mate... it's freaking boss.... who gives a shit what category it falls in...? most of us would jump at the opportunity to ride that thing ;D

sorry.. I'm in a mood today LOL

Okay fellas.. here's one for ya'll to figure out LOL ;D

WTF?

(i suspect theres a tiny 50cc motor hiding under the seat area.. oh.. wait a minute...! There is!) *snickers to self* ;D

Actually, you can see the head/cooling fins of the motor in front of his right foot.

You can also see the spark plug and plug wire.

I think there is a big airbox under the seat.

;) Precisely!... at first most people I show it too are like "WTF?" then you tell them to look clser... hahaha... it's pretty groovy ay! ;D Although.... considering it may indeed be a 50-80cc scooter motor.. and given the racing decals and race plates... begs the question... what category of racing exists exactly that utilizes small capacity scooter motors in street bike frames? hahahaha ;D that ain't no bucket racing class LOL....

*side note*.. center of gravity must be shit too... with the fuel up top and f*ck all underneath.. the tank of fuel would weigh more than the motor! Personally, I would make a custom alloy fuel cell that sits in the front half of the frame belly and then hollow out the top tank and use it as an air box.... two little vents cut forwards into it.... cold air induction? Hmmm.... *evil thoughts* *looks around with shifty eyes for an un-attended scooter*

Well here is what I grew up around as my dad used to have a pro stock pulling tractor (family owned a john deere dealership for 60 years) these are the super modified class, pretty much no limit to what can be run, three turbines, two twin turbo v-24 allison aircraft motors, 4 or 5 blown big blocks whatever not break neck speeds or anything just pure power really impressive in person but still its a tractor pull so still pretty red neck

Holy crap! That's megolithic! I live in Oz... we have tractor pulls.. but nothing like that.. it's usually big "f*ck-off" SUV's pulling weighted sleds up hills... I've never once in my life seen such awesomeness as you just showed! Those things are f*cking terrifying... and yet.... oh so bad-ass... I so want to ride in one! I now have a whole new healthier respect for the redneck community ;) Cheers! and welcome too!

Have had this pic for a while... not sure of the authenticity of it... but I think it rocks... even more so if it actually turns-over and rides....

p.s. just counted all my bike pictures on my pc... in total amongst my multitudes of motorcycle files.... is 6,548 motorcycle related images! slightly obsessive do you think? Or am I amongst others that suffer the same affliction? Don't get me wrong.. I love a nice womanly figure in a sexy anything.... and when I see Natalie Portman or Emma Watson i get a funny feeling in my pants... but when I see something like this...

yea if you ever make it over to the state you defiantly need to attend one of the big tractor pulls, every gear head would enjoy it
Here is the class similar to what my dad used to pull (he did it in the 80's- early 90's so alot has changed) lots of diesel smoke and wheel speed 10,000LB PRO STOCK TRACTOR CLASS AT THE GREENSBURG, IN FAIR 7-13-09 PPL
