Re: K75 RT police "Clair" Tarozzi's and all the fixings on!! check it outt!

As long as you like the way they feel they are good enough for me. Grips are not my priority. Love the look of it all still man ( minus the duct tape marks)...

Re: K75 RT police "Clair" Tarozzi's and all the fixings on!! check it outt!

THe grips are seriously nice and because they are made up of a bunch of leather circles all stacked on top of the other it takes in a lot of the shock I used to feel on the old grips.

Re: K75 RT police "Clair" NEW SPEEDO!!!! whole cockpit changed!!! finally NEW PICSS

Anyone have any objection to going completely raw aluminum on the new gas tank?

Re: K75 RT police "Clair" NEW SPEEDO!!!! whole cockpit changed!!! finally NEW PICSS

Do it. If you scared go to church.

Re: K75 RT police "Clair" NEW SPEEDO!!!! whole cockpit changed!!! finally NEW PICSS

fuck church. Yeah I'm doing it. I just met a guy in town who will teach me how to pinstripe and make some nice lines for the curves of the tank. So it will be raw with a few think lines outlining the knee indents and things. sounds good?

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair"

I will be putting in the new reinforced side panels today or tomorrow, also there will be a cut out on the right side for this JEGS ignition board to fit http://www.ebay.com/itm/JEGS-Performance-Products-11001-Ignition-Switch-Start-Button-Panel-/310637356249?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item48536de4d9&vxp=mtr

then on the left side I will have mounting holes for my key switch and this choke switch so that everything needed to start the bike is on the side and out of the way.
choke plunger I just received vvvvvvv

New rear mono shock from a 2013 NINJA 636
welded bracket for top and milled new stud with two different thread sizes on each end for bottom mount.

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" NEW monoshock added

You know, I thought about using mountain bike grips, but wasn't sure how the end caps would attach. You are the first person I've seen install them on a motorcycle. Good work!

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" NEW monoshock added

Thank you, I will tell you it took a lot of machining for the throttle side, we had to cut the clip on bar in half and weld on a thinner one that had to be turned down.

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" NEW monoshock added

JUst saying this build is still alive update 2/14

more reinforced aluminum side panels with key, ignition panel and clutch almost done, tank raw and soon to be clear coated, new stronger marine vinyl seat being re upholstered engine cases powdercoated, new front pirelli, electronics cleaned up, ammo can side bags soon to be added and exhaust wrap to come and then finished.

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" NEW monoshock added

NO well ive never seen it done. We had to machine the original bottom stud to have a smaller diameter post coming out and we welded a skinnier spacer where the top bolt fits. It was pretty easy after that and the ride is phenomenal now.

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" NEW monoshock added

Still working. Here are pics of new side panels and ignition switch and starter, also just finished the floating rear fender. Let me know what you think.

I am almost done sanding and polishing the new raw aluminum gas tank and the seat will be getting reupholstered soon with a different color marine vinyl that will hold up better than this joanns fabric shit.

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" 3-2-14 update

Enjoying this build! But the ammo box is really not working! The rest is very good though. Got a nice tough look to it.

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" 3-2-14 update

Yeah thank you very much for your honesty, Im starting to think that as well. the thought is that the bike will be going on the market soon when all is complete and Id like to let the customer decide whether or not they want to keep it. I made it very easy to remove or remount. I think I will remove it for now though, it definitely takes from it.

Seat being reupholstered within the next week or so and gas tank should be going on very soon. I can almost see every freckle on my face in it.
