hahaha sorry Rich...

Re: GS450 "Sport" - the little things are adding up

Not a problem at all gents.

As we all know by now, I got a ton of help in the garage recently. My in laws brought a turkey and a fryer:

Pennsylvania's gift to Indy:

Stock mufflers cut off:

Mothgils hard at work (sorry buddy - just saw that lead acid battery within a couple feet of where you were welding.....):

Here's the stock exhaust before we started (notice the mufflers blocking the rear axle):

And with the reverse megaphones:

All kinds of room!:

Let me say - those stock mufflers are freaking heavy compared to the new ones. And when I say "new", I mean the ones I've had laying around the garage forever. The best part is that they used the original muffler hangers too. Just need a little cleaning and they will be good to go.

Re: GS450 "Sport" - the little things are adding up

Nice, was all the beer consumed in the making of these pictures?

Re: GS450 "Sport" - the little things are adding up

I tried convincing Andrew and Jordan to deliver it to Maryland and Canada.....unfortunately, they refused.

So they took it back to Indy since they cant get any of it there.

Re: GS450 "Sport" - the little things are adding up

Ah ok. I wish I could mail order some of those beers. I think I can get the dogfis 90 min only around here in ME, but I have to almost to NH border to find a store big enough. :-(

Re: GS450 "Sport" - the little things are adding up

Between the 2 of us we spent almost $200 in beer. None of the beer pictured can be purchased in Indiana. We are hardcore bootleggers, livin' on the edge!

Mmmmmm Yuengling.

Believe it or not, there is hope. I have seen some of the nations oldest brew in this part of the state from time to time.

Re: GS450 "Sport" - the little things are adding up

Love it Rich, reverse megaphones are definitely the way to go!

I got no clearance issues with my 450's rear axle ;)

Re: GS450 "Sport" - the little things are adding up

Ha! Go ahead Pete, rub it in a little.......

I've been a little absent lately - but how are the boys at Tranzac coming along with your repairs?

Haha sorry, couldn't resist... you know how it is ;)

Still down there unfortunately, would've had it back probably tomorrow except that he found another mark on the muffler where I thought the saddlebag had protected it, so that needs re-coating too... hopefully next week I'll get it back.

Re: GS450 "Sport" - painted wheels....

Yep.....that pretty much says it. Painted wheels with MetalCast Orange (and primer underneath of course). They will be getting a nice coat of 2K Clear eventually as well.....

Re: GS450 "Sport" - painted wheels....

Thanks gents! Money is a little tight with the holidays and all, but they will look better with tires mounted......

Re: GS450 "Sport" - painted wheels....

Diggin the metallic, candy orange, tangerine color you got going. You gonna carry that to the tank and seaat as well?

GK

Re: GS450 "Sport" - painted wheels....

Kinda.....It'll be a metallic red. "Close" to stock, but hopefully a little more eye catching.

Matter of fact, the same red that is on my GR650's GS450 tank and fiberglass tail. Hard to explain....but you'll see.

Re: GS450 "Sport" - painted wheels....

That colour combo should work well Rich! I didn't realise how well the gold chain on my 450 would go with the pearl red paint...
