two years ago I got my cb750 for $1000 in ct, it ran but had no title. Was still able to get a nys title made up at the dmv because motorcycles before a certain year in ct didn't need a title. Just filled out the forms regarding the bikes vin, and proof of sale from original owner.JSJamboree said:What is a good deal on a 750 these days? Prices seem to be through the roof. Best chance I have found at one is $900, no title, no carbs, no side covers, pretty beat. I cant imagine paying more than like $600 for that, am I wrong?

whats with the emissions laws 'lifting' ? surely if the bike was legal when it was made it should always stay legal, regardless of current emisssions standards? or have those stinkin' green hippy fuckers made things retrospective wherever you are?
CharlieT said:We had a '72 in our shop that after carb and ignition work, we got it running like a top. Bike was not pristine, but was close to it, all there and titled. Owner sold it for $4500. Being a '72, that front brake alone could be worth $6-800.
As with most old bikes, condition is everything. Around here, a rough daily rider, running and rideable would go around $1500 +/-. AN all there, but rough, not running can go from $600-1000. Prices assume titled vehicles.
