Where in az are ya? I have family out there.
I'm down in Yuma. Its crazy that its this windy and cold here (37deg this morning). Hell has almost frozen over today.
@arcspeedworks: I cant thank you enough. These are exactly what I was looking for. I cant wait to get them on the bike. Crazy how fast they got here. Showed up before the tracking link even registered it in the system.

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

Rad man I have family in Yuma and san Luis, I heard about the win and cold, sucks man, hope you all stay warm down there, make sure to get the bike a blanket too hahaha

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

Love the paint scheme. The white on the tail section is BA! Keep up the good work.

ya i know what you mean, Ive been getting the run around too from someone... Sometimes you just gotta be patient.. How much snow did you get? we got 10foot drifts LITERALLY.

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

No snow down here in Yuma, AZ but the wind was blowin real hard and its unusually cold here. Dipped below freezing for the first time in like forever around here. I really feel for you guys stuck in the snow.

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

Hey anyone know what size socket I need to remove the center nut on the top tree?

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

Clip-on's are going to look awesome on this bike! Love what you're doing with it all together. Keep it up!

Damn, you work fast. That is some nice use of color, K. Get those bars on and start riding!

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

Wow man, those pinstripes really made it look rad!

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

@arcspeedworks: yeah maybe a lil too fast but i want to get this baby on the road soon.
@hurley209: thx im beyond stoked with the outcome so far.

bars will be on by this weekend

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

can you explain how you wired your turn signals? I love them.

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

im not sure what your asking. if its the front turn signal (amber lights) I have those wired to the original wires but they dont flash (leds dont work with stock flasher relay). i dont have rear turn signals (yet) those are my tail/ brake light

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

Cool, I like the way you did the Tail/Stop lights, I would do the same along the bottom stripes with a clear lense amber LED strip for signals. You need to wire a LED flasher unit anyway.

Somehting like this, just used orange to show, but a clear lense would disappear until you hit the switch.

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

Just checked in on this build after missing it for a while and WOW! You have made some big steps! I just wanted to say your design in your paint is refreshinly different and the lines flow really well! I think you should build that side cover to cover that small tab at the bottom of the tank and make that paint line flow through clean! Nice work!

Re: Project Cheap Racer (ver.2)

thx guys for the input. maritime, that's exactly what i had in mind for the rear turn signals and twisted, i have plans for the tabs at the bottom of the tank. i'm looking at getting rid of the altogether if possible (it would look so much better without them)
