I think if I remember right, when the marks on the cam chain sprocket in the rocker box are lined up horizontal like they should be the (I think) "T" mark on the flywheel should be lined up with the notch on the stator. I'd double check the...

Looks a lot better with the tape under the lower clamp. But, I'm not sure I'd trust it there. I can see it getting hot in the sun and getting the adhesive melty and sticky and sliding...maybe? I'm just picturing worst case scenario.
