One-up Two-up seat with removable cowling

This seat may not be for everyone, but I'd though Id share because I haven't seen anything like it on this site. Its functional and makes it easy to carry a second passenger. Swivel is not a fan, as I'm sure others are not too. Although Swivel thought he'd let me know by sending me 2...

    1980 CB750F

The gauges are from Parts N More, http://www.partsnmore.com/ They connected with the OEM cables and were a breeze to install. Yes, I did the seat myself. I either needed to cut off the grommet section from the tank or blend the seat into it. The seat was a lot of bondo/sand/bondo/sand. Also...

One-up Two-up seat with removable cowling

Thought I'd share my seat for those who want to carry a passenger and still obtain that bubble hump look. I made the main part of the seat by carving a mold out of florist foam, covering it with metal tape and then fiber glassing over top. To create the removable seat cover/cowl I did the same...

Rockin the 80's - First time Cafe Build

From what I remember there is a circular clip that holds the everything in place. After you remove the rubber cap, you need to do is push down on that metal cap. THen you can use a flat head screw driver to pry out the circular retaining ring. The ring is split and you can see the split at...

    My XS400 Seat Build

I bought the stuff at a local big box store. Canadian Tire, in Canada. It is just regular fiberglass resin, any store should have some., I think Walmart carries this stuff too.

    Bad press at cb750f.com

There was quite the discussion going on at cb750f.com in regards to cafe-ing bikes especially the cb750f. Here are some posts Joined: Mar 12, 2010 Luba, I have not intentionally singled you out. Your bike is an F, although not my cup of tea, it is still an F, and belongs here. I however DO...

The tail light isn't too bright. It is not DOT approved, but it is E-marked (european approved). They are bright enough however and the brake is fairly bright too.

    1976 KZ400 Cafe Transformation - Almost finished

Re: 1976 KZ400 Cafe Transformation (First Motorcycle) -Just Drilled My Rotor I would suggest buying a counter sink bit to chamfer the hole. Just buy the cheapest one when it comes to this as you will only need to hold it at each hold for a second and it should last for the duration of the...

    Breaking Cam Chain

MikesXS has a cam tool breaker/riverter kit for $44, and you can get free shipping. I say buy it there, use it and either keep the kit or sell the thing on e-bay for $24, then you have only payed $20 for the job and have the satisfaction that you did all the work yourself. Part #35-0112...

    Drilling brake Rotors

I drilled my front rotor and was surprised how easy it was. I think I used a 1/8" bit followed by a 5/16", and then used a HSS countersink bit to clean up the edges. I bought 1 bit in each size and they are perfectly fine now, plan on doing 3 more rotors. I used Cobalt bits. The trick is to go...
