1974 Honda CB360 Garage Find Cafe Build

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! This is the funniest thing I've read here on DTT!

Mate, you,ve got some balls to put your immaculate, exquisitely painted tank into a tumble dryer! Glad it worked out ;D ;D ;D ;D

You and me both! This was probably the most nerve racking part of the entire process!

Got downstairs with a hacksaw and spindle sander with no other intentions than f#*%ing something up last night. Cracked a couple high lifes, one for me and one for me, then got to work. Sawed off the rusty bits of the headers and then shaped the tips to make them look a little less plane jane. Feeling like that went way to smoothly, I then made a finale decision on my tank decals. I've always been a huge fan of classic James Bond and his AM's as well so I decided to borrow one of my all time favorite car logos and place in Uncle Deadly's name. Simple...and cool (Cool is subject to opinion especially when I deem something "Cool") <------Cool disclaimer.

I think I might have taken care of the inside of the tank BEFORE body work and painting. In fact, I am certain I would have done that first. <G>

It was fine, not too bad for pretty much the entire build. Don't know if I got some moisture in there some how but it got bad AFTER I had the tank all finished. Classic me luck.

I have gotten water inside a tank while wet sanding, even with carefully sealing it up with duct tape.

Uncle Deadly Lives! I finally got everything on the bike tonight and rolled it out of the basement door for the first time in months. Turned the key and she fired up FIRST try!!!!! I could not be more excited right now. I had no clue how loud the open CL pipes would be but I'm pretty sure I woke everyone up in a two block radius. Here is a video. Sorry for the poor quality, jittery movement and all around bad filming but I was really excited. It was also 11:30 and this was the second time I had fired her up since all the lights in the neighborhood started flipping on.

Very cool... I hope I have that kinda luck when I finish my 360 motor and get it back in the frame.

Can't wait to see it all buttoned up.

Burnout vid!?!?! Dude, those tires are pricey!!! I can't afford that kind of fun.

Got the bike 99% there today at lunch. Wrapped the headers last night and Installed this tail/brake/turn set up at lunch. Drilling my newly painted seat was a bit scary.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had bought a couple different ones and just hated them. I liked this one but no one im America seemed to have it and I was not waiting 30 days to get one from ChinaTown. Then...one popped up on ebay and now its on my bike.

Your pipes sound great.. post a pic of what they turned out to look like after you hacked them!!?

Pea gravel? That's wild! I never would have thought about that. Glad it worked out so well for you man.

Here are my pipes all painted and wrapped up. Jegs sent the wrong size wrap but I made it work and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I am messing with my clutch right now so I didn't bolt them all the way up, that's why thy are a little "off" looking.
