I have may have trolled purists once or twice. Not that this thing wasn't restorable when I got it, but it was beyond the condition necessary for me to even consider a restoration. Not that I've ever once restored a motorcycle.

I still wanna hack an airhead into a custom build. The ‘74 R90S I’m working on now is going to be a restoration. It is just too rare of a bike to chop up. I’ll wait until I can score a good donor r100 or r80. A mono shock model would be awesome.

Or do like me and make it a mono lever like the OG prototype, which kept the dual shock swinger.
I got my side covers mounted, though I need to swap out these screws for button cap or countersink screws. These are at least a proof of concept. I also got the seat tray cast. I read an article where two guys used hairspray as a mold resist for fiberglass. Since I have at least six legitimate options for mold release, I thought “why not?” and experimented with the hairspray. I ended up digging the foam buck out of the cast. Didn’t work like I hoped. I ended up peeling most of the Epsilon coating out of the tray like dead skin after a sun burn. My battery goes here. This is an EarthX ETX18. I will run an ETX36C. The foam and tape gives the 18 the same dimension as the 36 for mock-up. Some electrical goes in the air box delete. Some goes in the tray. I also intend to make a tool roll and store a few small things in this tray, which is why I made it so big.
I'd really like to learn how to use an english wheel. When we eventually move to the sticks and I get my dream garage, that'll be one of the first tools I get hold of. What's a football hardy?
