He just posted in his other thread saying they got hacked.
ALL of their accounts got hacked?
And who the hell hacks a powdercoating shop?

Edit:
Pissed off customers I'd wager 8)

He could have finished your parts in the time that spent on that mower

I would have got my parts back, paid with a credit card, then called and stopped payment. I've had to do this several times with mechanics and parts people. Had a 64 El Camino once, ground up restoration. Took it to a body and paint place to have new floors and paint done. Received a call the car was done, got there and a beautiful paint job, but no floors. Guy tried to tell me it wasn't part of the deal. I put $5,000 on a credit card, took my car home, and cancelled the payment. He came up with floors the next day.....

I would have never thought to do something like that.. nor is it my style. I'd have rather gone there in person and taken a couple buddies with me. all and all I got my shit back.

Yeah... that whole buddy thing can end up with a lot of people in jail, and lawyers crawling up your ass, court fees, law suits etc. You want your stuff back, you hit them in the wallet. I was there in person, didn't keep anybody from lying. Plus once my floor boards were in, I gave him his $, he actually did a great job once he pulled his head out of his ass...

you really think thieves take credit cards ?

thank you for all your insite. there is no reason to "come with back up" to pick up your parts. to me that sounds like a threat, no reason for that. Lots of keyboard tough guys in this thread here. Yes on sundays my phone is off, i have a 1 year old and preg wife that i like to spend at least 1 day a week with. Tristan was in comunication with Tim, and we did on several occasions try to return calls without sucess. lots of 1/2 truth in here.

No worries now, thanks for the clarification. But to be honest, things were looking pretty sketchy for a while, which is why I got worried. Looking forward to picking up my parts later.

so you are calling the victims here liars?
if even half is true as you say you are a pos

Returned calls or not, 7 months on a 2 week max job is ridiculous and there shouldn't be any payment whatsoever involved.
You have a pretty good reputation here on DTT and I think you are going to need to offer some sort of explanation at the very least?

Theres nothing wrong with having your phone off on a sunday man, we all need a break! haha.

I'm pretty sure he said half truths, at the most thats a half liar.

7 months for a frame though? I know you have a lot of work, you post photos of it often.

I'm guessing you have a lot of word of mouth business and would be fine if your instagram, twitter, aol, Facebook, website, and Nintendo are down. I'm sure your DTT business is small fish, but it all adds up, I wouldn't expect anyone to keep recommending you without a good explanation to why these customers didn't have a first rate experience.

Alright, lets tone it down a notch. 7 Months sucks, and I'm not happy about that, but at least I know these guys aren't trying to pull anything shady. I'm not expecting anything for free (although I don't expect a raised price either). Y'all have a good day, and thanks for the help.

You came in guns blazin' on this one - and out with a whimper. Is it possible that we didn't get the whole story out of the gate?

Not at all, I just didn't want this thread to turn into a giant war, these guys aren't bad, but I had good reason to worry. The lack of communication was a big part of it, mainly, Sunday I couldn't get a hold of anybody, and it was another supposed date I was supposed to have it by (the first of which was over a month ago). As well, websites and other social media accounts go down, can't get a hold of Joe or Tim, and haven't physically seen my frame in over half a year. I legitimately thought something had happened to my stuff, and was more worried about just getting my frame back, then how much it would cost or if it was even done. This is my only bike right now, was scared of losing it. We've got stuff figured out now.

Edit: Going to work now, so won't be able to reply to anything after this for a while.

There is a reason Tim and Matt don't let me moderate here . I'm not very moderate .

Doesn't anyone here feel the awkward moment when you realize that it's a personal matter you don't belong in ? I have seen several of this type of thread and never have understood the point . If you can't handle your business as a customer or business what good is a thread here ? Note I'm not taking sides . I'm just calling bullshit and hope it gets cleared up off the forum .

As for why Tim and Matt don't have me moderate ? I would have trashed the thread before the second post and if I had found it after the 4th page I would have made the topic disappear , put both the OP and JRK on the beach and waited for the PM , emails asking why .

Actually I kind like the way Tim and Matt handle the difficult threads here , they don't . Only the obvious get trashed . The less obvious like this one they let the opinions speak for themselves ...

I think that the public square is a great place to hash this stuff out - with the understanding that we may not be getting the whole story from anyone with an interest in it.

Plus without it we wouldn't have gotten to read Joe's response - and as a guy without a pony in this show, it was all worth it for that.

Caveat Emptor,

Rich

I also think its a good thing.
If Powder Pro is as good as they claim to be they will make it right, and publicly just makes them look even better. If they don't make it right they lose business and more importantly reputation.
As a business owner, yeah it sucks to be on that side of it, but as consumers we all want a company to be transparent.
